I have been very pleased with this school. It is usually very clean around campus. The professors are also very nice and are very accessible. They are easy to get in contact with as well. Overall, I am very pleased to be attending Suffolk County Community College, it has opened me up to other career options. The faculty is very helpful in giving the best career advice and answering any questions that I, or any students have. I feel like I have learned a lot about the career paths that I have considered.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love my time at SCCC. The tuition is affordable, with plenty of options for financial aid, scholarships, and payment plans. I can only think of positive words for my professors; they were knowledgeable in their field, committed to teaching, and passionate about their subject material. The class sizes make it easier to get one on one help when a student needs it when struggling. Most classes also cater to all different learning types, great class reviews for tests and you are taught for the most part things you will use in life. Clubs are lively, for a community college there are so many clubs to attend. It is a great way to meet people and maybe become involved in leadership. Field trips are also an extra bonus about being involved in a club! All this doesn't mean a person can just breeze through at this school. Yes, the professors will go above and beyond, but it takes hard work and determination to graduate. Overall, this is a really great school.

I am proud of where I go to for school. Suffolk may be a community college but I liked that I got the same quality of education I would get from any other school for a cheaper price. People may not think Suffolk is a great school because they haven't went there but the professors are caring and intelligent, the staff is always helpful and the students are friendly and always help each other out no matter what. Suffolk may not be an ivy league school or even a university but in my opinion it is just as good and I wouldn't have had my college years any other way.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I think it is a great college, I have had great professors this first semester, the campus is clean and safe. The class sizes are really good, they allow for greater communication with your professor which is important. There are many clubs to join and they allow you to get involved on campus. As for academics they are solid, my brother graduated from here and transferred to a university so far he has been doing well. The classes are hard work as they should be. Overall great experience so far.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

When classes on a campus get cancelled due to low enrollment, it often means either going to a campus far out of the way, or having to redo your entire schedule. There needs to be more available professors and sections of classes.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Extra curriculars. I have been involved in so many campus productions and events. It's also really laid back.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

There is nobody who could be excluded from Suffolk. It's so diverse.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Anyone who isn't ready to go away to college, and wants a nice transition into the college life. If you like to get involved and don't mind commuting, Suffolk is great for you. You don't need to be the most scholarly person to do well here.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

They do not recycle. They offer so many vegan and organic food options, but it's very hypocritical if we can't recycle that waste.
