Athletics are taken pretty seriously, but Binghamton isn't really a huge sport-focused school...at least not from what I've seen so far. It's a Division 1 school, so athletics are very competitive, but the one team we don't have is a football team. There are tons of intramural and club sports however that are less competitive and selective but still fun and offer a wider variety of outdoor activities.

There are sports teams, and games on campus. People attend, and those who attend seem to be hardcore Binghamton fans. But for the most part people don't pay much attention to the sports teams.

The sports at Binghamton are not that great. Although they are a Division I school, they do not show it. Basketball games get decent attendance, but that's about it. There were some students that ran into trouble with the law a year or two back that really took a toll on the Binghamton athletics department, knocking out some star players.

No one cares about sports on the whole.

We used to have an amazing basketball team but they had a drug problem. Our soccer team has been pretty good for a while now, although their last season was less than impressive. And we don't have a football team. Not the biggest sports school but I've always enjoyed the soccer games.

After 8 years of Division 1 basketball, Binghamton University Bearcats won the America East Conference and earned their first spot in March Madness.
