What's the Greek scene like?

Emily

It's pretty impressive. There are a huge number of fraternities and sororities here. Besides all the social ones that college is famous for, there are numerous business frats, music frats, and frats for certain majors that are strictly academic. I'm not a Greek life person myself, but I've found that people in them don't seem to be too cliquey and are actually pretty friendly. Binghamton is in no way a "Greek or geek" school, so if you choose not to participate in Greek life like me, it's completely okay.

The fraternities are all located downtown, due to on campus alcohol policies, etc. Only a small population of the Binghamton student body decides to pledge, and the Greek scene can either be enjoyed or completely avoided dependent on your preferences.
