Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The dorms here are really nice (well, for dorms). They're carpeted and the furniture gives you a lot of space for everything. There are plenty of drawers, shelves, closet space, and space under the bed if you have bed risers.

Vick

Come here. I have only begun to realize all the options I have, and I plan on using them a lot more next year. This is a really good school. And you can have a lot of fun, too. You will learn a lot about so many things.

Christina

Bing's cool.

Sean

i covered it...

Mickey

Good school for the money but if you are any type of intelligent teenager you may be extremely disapointed, acts as a safety school for most people, I'm not sure too many people want to be here

Richie

not really. Binghamton rocks!

Parker

I hated my time here, except meeting about two close friends. But they also hate it here. If you're not jewish, from long island, in a sorority, an asshole, or a bitch....good luck finding a good social group!

Alex

People love to bash the weather here and say that Binghamton is cold and rainy. They're just exaggerating. College kids love to do that. The weather here is pretty normal for New York, but when it rains everyone loves to say, "Gotta love Binghamton weather!"

Jen

Binghamton is an awful place if you're looking to experience more than just academia. Like I said, there's nothing to do besides drink, and you won't get the real experiences you want. There aren't many volunteering opportunities, especially if you don't have a car, and there aren't many cultural activities you can get involved in.

Allie

If you suffer from seasonal affect disorder, don't come here. If you hate jappy girls, don't come here. If you are not self motivated in school, don't come here, they will NOT hold your hand or spoon feed you anything. If you want a great education for cheap, COME here, if you are sick of your homogeneous high school, COME here, there is a lot to do, but the weather sucks! There is a fun lake beach that many people don't even know about, it is man made with sand and set in a mountain about 15 min away (you need a car to get there.) Although I said more negative than positive, I enjoyed my time here, and I just want people to be aware of what I was NOT aware of coming in!

Rachel

The bars here are great. They're really loose on id's, especially if you're a girl. However, they are pretty strict about drinking on campus. If they even think you may be playing beer pong in your room they will come in and write you up. And they are especially strict about marijuana. A lot of people go into the nature preserve on campus to smoke, but if you do it in your dorm room you can bet you'll get written up if not arrested.

Ashley

I really like going to school here. I have net tons of nice people and really have a good time. It is really hard though. If you are expecting to get straight A's you may want to choose a different school.

Carson

I would like to give credit to the RAs, DAs and RDs in every community. Their jobs are hard. It's hard to be the rule enforcer, and it's hard to get people to go to programs and sometimes, to get students excited about their communities. I honestly don't support them as much as I feel I should, and I think we underestimate their amazing-ness. And, although a lot of their responsibilities are up front, a lot of it is background stuff. These are the things we don't realize they do and it's sad because we wouldn't be having the experiences we're having without their hard work. So, kudos to them.

Whitney

come for a visit and if you get that feelinglike you belong here, that its the right decision, then follow your heart and come here. dont worry/ think about it too much. have fun in college whatever that means to you

Andrew

I enjoy Binghamton very much, therefore I didnt have many negative comments about it.

Shelby

i really like it here. not thinking of transfering. exactly what i expected, but well done. one thing that sucks is the bureaucracy. they fuck up literally everything and redirect you a million times. every one of the poeple you talk to though are really nice. the workers the teachers the people

aaron

Nah. It's a good school with great courses and great professors. You will find friends here because it's very diverse but people are generally very down to Earth and unassuming.
