Stereotypes about Binghamton and its students? For one, it's dreary, depressing and boring. The only way to have a good time is to go out drinking and partying. Two, Binghamton students don't have the same chances out there in the real world as students who go to other more prestigious schools. A few stereotypes concerning Binghamton and the students is that there is a considerable amount of people from Long Island and New York City, most of whom are Jewish. Beyond this, there are stereotypes about many of the residential communities on campus. For instance, Newing Community is known for having a high population of people involved in Greek Life and also people who are very materialistic. Dickinson Community is known for having people who are generally less social and are somewhat "geeky".
