I enjoy the personal connections that can be made at this small university. Students are often in classes that are small enough to learn everyones name and receive support from professors. Currently there have been issues revolving around many people, including myself, being unhappy with the President and choices that he has made. Lastly, one of my biggest issues is that I wish there was more food variety. There used to be more places to get food on campus but the number has been shrinking. I would love if they got Tim Hortons back on campus.

Matthew - 04/05/2023

It is a nice school if you don't mind a commuter college. There is housing on campus but a large population of the student body commutes. The college itself is nice, some nice buildings for the sciences, but if you are outside of the sciences the buildings are a bit dated but there is still a large amount of decent technology in the buildings. I would call the college as a whole a budget campus for students but I don't feel like the price takes away from the education as a whole.

SUNY Fredonia is such a hidden gem. The people are so kind, the vibes are good, and you get so much more than what you pay for. Even though it is in the middle of nowhere, there is still plenty of things to do and activities to get you involved. I would suggest taking these opportunities to join clubs or greek life because these experiences are some of the best times of your life and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Jordann

It is in the middle of nowhere and there is not much at all to do around here. The education is decent especially in the music department. Economics and business are not so decent. The food here is horrible but hopefully they will be changing it with the petition that has been going on. There are a lot of clubs and it is pretty easy to make new clubs as well. Not a bad school if you have your own place and or a car.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Out of my college expierence I have gotten a sense of responsibility and independence. I have learned how to take care of myself and be responsible for my actions, since there is no one here to take care of me. It is valuable to attend college because it teaches you how to become your own person. College is an experience that everyone should embark on especially dorming because you are put into uncomfortable living quarters with random strangers and you learn how to cope and handle different situations.

I think the best thing about my school is the size of the campus. Everything is in walking distance and the campus is very accesible for all kinds of people. 11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Others may not agree with me but in my mind there are very few things that frustrate me about SUNY Fredonia. Since there are slim pickings, I would have to say that the dorm rooms for upper classmen are not as large as most people would like them to be. When you have to room with another individual, space is key in buliding a relationship with new people.

  12. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

The wonerderful environment where the college is located. I love small towns that makes walking a viable option. Small community with a lot of great nature spots around town that allow for walks in the woods to hicking around a waterfall. The GREAT class sizes at Fredonia are ideal as well. The size of the classes allow for a lot of individual attention from the professors and I believe it has greatly enhanced my education.
