You'll fit in here best if you're artistic and open-minded. People here tend to be extremely enthusiastic about their work. That enthusiasm is wonderful to be around, but if you're looking for a very structured environment, this might not be the place for you. Most people like to go with the flow and be inspired by those around them rather than stay true to a strict schedule, syllabus, or vision. It's a liberal school, so if you're a member of the LGBTQ community and looking for a safe space, this is a great place.
A person who is not open minded and does not want to go to an art school.
As long as one is willing to learn and explore new aspects of culture and society they are welcomed at my school; there are a host of sports, arts, scientific and other outlets for expression that make anyone feel welcomed and provide opportunity for character development.
A person who is close minded to new ideas and "wierdos." This school is for bright, artistic, free spirits who want to live their lives in creative outlets. People who tend to be on the more conservative side of things will also not be too happy to see all of the drag queens/kings and liberation filling the night streets, however, if you come to Purchase with an open mind your sure to find that it is one of the most unique college culture experiences you will ever have, and maybe the best.
If you want to be surrounded by an intellectually stimulating community where your peers will motivate you to do the best you can with your studies, do not come here. Those who are shy and might not be able to make friends immediately in freshman orientation should plan to have a very lonely first semester, as the cliques here form so quickly and so strongly it is almost impossible to make friends after the first week. If smoking weed in some upper- classmen's appartment isn't one of your only sources of entertainment already, find somewhere else to go.
People who are not interested in achieving goals by hard work and passion.
(A republican?) I guess anyone not interested in their programs.
Those who are unwilling to keep an open mind and accept the differences of those around them. If there were a single group that I feel wouldn't be welcome here, it would be individuals who fall into this category.
Jocks and people who who think they are better than everyone else.
Someone who can't be open minded.
artistic and liberal
Students interested in fraternitys and soreties as there arent any associated with the school.
People who are not open-minded or interested in a small school.
A person with hang-ups about sexual identity, sustainable living and a generally liberal and progressive mindset would feel out-of-place and uncomfortable here.
