Small and cliquey. Fraternities/sororities typically only have 25-45 members, so everyone knows everyone. There used to be a lot of local organizations, but there are only 2 now and the rest are national. There are both on and off campus organizations. The off-campus ones are unrecognized by both the school and their national organizations (so they can't be listed on a resume), and they don't do any philanthropic or academic events- they just have parties, mixers, and formals. Ethnic and non-ethnic organizations don't interact much. The on-campus social NPC sororities are: Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Xi Omega (local), Phi Sigma Sigma, and Sigma Delta Tau. On-campus IFC fraternities are Alpha Epsilon Pi, Alpha Sigma Phi, Pi Lambda Phi, Phi Kappa Psi, Sigma Pi, Sigma Tau Gamma, and Tau Kappa Epsilon.
