I wish I would have known how living on campus could be. I have always had my own space, so moving on campus with 1-5 other girls in the same apartment was a very big change for me. The fact that every individual is different became a factor also. Some people love loud music all day or they love alot of people in the apartment everyday, but everyone else are the totally opposite or opposed these situations sometimes. Which can become sort of a problem.

I wish i knew that finals are hard and you should study all through out the simester, it makes a big difference and your not as stressed. Friends are very distracting and can lead to no school work being done. Hang out with people you like because they will most likely lead you in the right direction.

Darcy

I wish I had known how much time I would be spending at Buffalo State. Being a commuter in my major, interior design, is extremely difficult. Dorming would be more efficient and make it easier to access the studio.

Scott

I wish I would have known that I shouldn' t be picky about applying for a job. When I got to Buffalo State, I wanted a job at a specific place. I applied there and waited, and by the time I found out that they wouldn't give me a job, it was too late to work anywhere else. I wish I applied to many different places, so I would have options. It is difficult to be at college and not have a steady income.

Babatunde

That I wouldn't be distracted by girls so I shouldn't bother going after them in the first place.

Stephanie

I wish I would have known more of how to work the computer system, before I came to the campus. There are many websites that might be confusing to new students. I would have also liked to know more about the activites on campus, and how to get involved. I did not get involved in campus activities until my sophomore year of college, which is a large regret I have. Lastly the college signs students up for their first semester of college, and the next semester students are on their own, without knowing how to register for classes.

I wish I had known that it was such a commuter school! We're 80{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} commuters and that really hurts student involvement on campus.

Jessica

It is a big campus, but it is not that bad once you are used to it. It is a little more difficult to make friends because of it though.

London

The amount of people that are willing to help. i went through a few big problems my freshmen year at college and i tried to go through them alone... i didnt realize until after almost failure that theyre were and still people who want to help. once i trusted that i opened up and allowed all help to come my way, needless to say life got easier and my problems resloved.

Kelley

The endless amount of supports that are available to the students. I was not fully aware of them until I was required to utilize them for a specific class.

Cecelia

I wish I would have known how rewarding and fun going off to college and living on campus truly was. Before going to college I was skeptical about the experience. I was afraid that it would be hard for me to maintain the level of academic achievement that I have grown accustom to in high school, while carrying a full course load, being involved in school groups and balancing a social life. Fortunately it didn't take long to figure out that with a little organization I can achieve all that and more, leading to a wonderful freshman college experience.

Kimberly

I wish I had known exactly what I wanted to study. I changed my major a few times and that affected how long it would take me to graduate. However, I am glad that I traveled the path that I did, because I truly love my course work and degree. I probably would not have found my "calling" if I hadn't gone through this experience.

Before i came to Buffalo State College, I wish I knew what living in the heart of a city was all about. I am a country girl, and a city is a whole new world. The life here is intense, and I wasnt ready for such a change. I wish I was prepared for the immaturity of the students at my college; i was expecting everyone else to be there like me, for the education, not for the parties. It's a tough world in the city, and i wish i knew this ahead of time.

Amanda

Its very very windy and always snows, also parking is far away from most buildings and hard to find, very limited which makes it hard for commuters.

Angelo

I wish i would have known how unfair the financial aid was here. Also I wish I would have known that all of the teachers are not teaching with the student's success in their best interest.

Carmen

I wish I had known that although I came with a major and minor in mind, there were many factors that would change my mind. I came to Buffalo State College prepared to pursue a career in Psychology. However, I am somewhat skeptical about this decision. Different courses I've taken have originated different interests and career ideas.

Ariel

I wish I'd known how hard it is to get a good job around here and that I would contemplate switching my major to Surgery since I chose Buffalo for it's Physical Therapy Program (which is excellent)

Danielle

I wish I had known more about the Design Program. I have a great interest in art,but I was unsure about my financial security in the future. I chose to take Psychology instead. I also wished that I knew more about the scholarships the school offered.

Samantha

Before I came to this school, I wish I had known who was the best person to go to for advisement. At the beginning of my college career here at Buffalo State College, I got advised by three different advisors and was told three different kinds of information regarding which classes I need to take, which caused me to take a couple classes I did not need to. I finally figured out that the best person to go to in order to get the most effective advisement was Mrs. Day, the assistant director to the Education Department.

Robin

I basically knew everything i needed to know before attending Buffalo State College.
