Alfred state has an array of outdoor adventure we'll worth mentioning. I have been impressed by my involvement in the outdoor recreation club. I have had the opportunity to further accel my skills of downhill mountain biking while taking trips to new trails in other states to have a variety of experiences. Another maxing club is SAE Baja. In this club the student has the opportunity to get involved in a once in a lifetime experience. We work together to build a competition car and students an travel the country as we company. The club functions wonderfully as students from multiple majors can help with every aspect of the vehicle.
The school is very nice.
Alfred State is a good college for students who are interested in getting an AOS degree in a technology field. There are no general education classes required therefore the degree can be completed in 2 years. It is an affordable option for high school grads and adults who with to go (back) to school.
I'm proud to be an Alfred State student in the Welding Technology program. I am one of a small, select group of students in this program and look forward to my first job opportunity. The welding department only accepts 22 new freshmen students, so if you're interested, apply early!

If I knew what I know now about college I would have told myself to relax. People will like you and you will do just as well in college as you did in high school, if not better. Take care of yourself.
This school is in the middle of no where and the closest attractions are 20 minutes away. It is in a country setting, but it has lots of cool people, awesome professors, and great classes.
A student looking to reside in city life instead of rural area should not attend this school. If competition outweighs success in a field of study, Suny Alfred is not the right school. Suny Alfred is designed to give every student a basic foundation to work off of not to push them on a advanced level to watch a student fail. Any student looking to start in advanced courses facing intense competition within a field should not attend this college.
The worst thing about my school is that the students do not always strive for academic excellence. Most students strive for passing grades versus going above and beyond. It can be difficult being around individuals who do not put their academics first and foremost.
That there is not much to do on weekends.
Any kind of person who wants a good basic education. There are many types of people that go to this school, it's very diverse
I like my classmate, they are mostly very helpful and supportive.
Probably getting good jobs for seniors and one of the biggest party schools in the state.
THe best part about Alfred State is the hands on learning. The first week i was there i went out in the field and began to survey. This expirence helped me to find out immediately that this major and school was right for me.
Campus is easy to get around. Professors are friendly and helpful. Very safe enviroment.
My school offers a more well rounded degree program with teachers from around the country and some from other countries.
The people who work in the financial aid building can't figure out how to do there job. They have messed up my money situation every semester. They are very difficult to get hold of on the phone and even then they cannot help.
