There are a variety of different majors that range from vet-si to culinary, to construction management to mechatronics. This college has a very culturally diverse campus. There is also a store located on campus that sells everything for a dollar and it sells used professional clothing for students who may need it and cannot afford it. SUNY Delhi also has community service center, which you can go to and sign up for different community service events happening in town or on campus. The campus is not overly large; therefore if you live on campus you can walk to class in less than 10 minutes. Most classroom sizes are very small so you are able to have more personal time with the teacher if needed. The campus is located on top of a hill so it is kind of a big hike to get on campus if you live off campus and are walking to class. On most days coming to campus pasted 9am, it is hard to find on campus parking. There is a new Starbucks café that opened which everyone goes to. However, the drinks do not actually taste very accurate compared to the actual Starbucks but it depends on the server. Unfortunately, when the new Starbucks opened, the café in the library and in Stanford Hall closed down. So there is only one café to get your drinks from and the line is always long depending on the time you go. There are not that many student jobs available.
SUNY Delhi is a well organized place. It's very safe and well loved. There is always something to do on campus. If it's recreation or acedemics you will never be bored. There's so many opportunities to get help here as well. The tutoring opportunities are amazing there's always someone willing to help you. If it's mental or medical help you need there is also great places for that on campus. There will always be someone to help no matter what the situation. I transferred to Delhi and it's the best thing I have ever done I love it here.
My overall opinion is that it is amazing even i also don't have words to describe that how amazing it is and i have had a lot of fun in this college along with numerous practical lessons and the teachers are also as goos as i have contemplate therefore i can say that it is really amazing ...!!!
I completeted two years at SUNY Delhi before transferring home. When I was attending I learned from incredible and experienced professors. Not only did they teach in the class room but were always nearby if anyone needed anything. When I transferred home, my new school was completely different. Limited office hours by professors and not so eager to help a student in need. I am in the process of transferring back to Delhi because of how much better the professors and curriculum was there.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for SUNY College of Technology at Delhi is 51%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Information I would give to students is first have a purpose have goals have an understanding of what you want to achieve from college and how you plan to achieve it also remeber if it does not go exactly how you planned it that alright but be sure to remeber that you are looked as an adult going into college and freedom is so abundant but that freedom comes with responsibility and respect follows responsibilty. To the parents you are still the parents but now your dealing with an adult and it is important to give your your son/daughter room to grow and to start offering suggestions rather than commands or orders also understand that your son/daughter is his/her own person and you have to trust that all of your good teaching is strong enough to keep your child while they are away from you.... good luck on your future college decisions.
My school described in one sentence is diversity, there are people form all over the world and the staff works hard to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
People that dont have a stable foundation nor people that do not know / understand direction purpose.
my class mates are hear to pass whether a D or an A as long as they pass that all the higher strive for perfection is not there
The worst thing about Suny Delhi is that there no really palce to shop, and sometimes you get tired of the food. Another bad thing about the school is the location, since it further up it really cold. There few parties at the school and not that many choices to make between majors/minors. The dorm rooms are very small. The books cost a lot of money.
The school is best known for its culinary and hospitality programs as well as its vet science program
I wish I had known more about the clubs that they have for each major. I also wish I had known how expensive meal plans were and what the differences between them were.
A person that wants to be lazy and get through school doing the bear minimum
I believe that this school is unique because a student can come to this school with no pressure to be in a certain major. They can get their liberal art courses out of the way and in two years they can transfer into a major that they are sure they want to be in. It is a very good school to start out in if one is not sure what they want to do in life.
The best thing about Suny Delhi is its environment. Delhi is a small town, where you mostly know everyone. And that makes it a great place to go to school.
SUNY Delhi is one of the oldest and best schools in New York for Veterinary Science majors
One of the most frustrating things about my school, I think would have to be the quality of the food has decreased immensely. The head of the colleges food association has been increasing the prices of everything and lowering the quality of the food itself. Being a well known culinary school, it frustrates me that we have such an awful food service caterring to the students. Which also does not accomidate food allergies or religous foods. I am lactose intolerant and it is very difficult for me to not have to worry about the food I eat.
