Naked truth- dont come here expecting to get laid girls:dont come here because you like a guy in uniform, come here because of what you are going to gain out of the education and opportunities provided here. guys: dont assume every girl that goes to this school, is easy to get cause they are surrounded by many guys, and just feel the need to sleep with anyone and everyone its a crude misconception and it is not appreciated. girls who attend this Suny Maritime College are determined, and working for a future just like u. come here to study come determined to suceed open to other kinds of people and to making new friends to being a team not always an individual to follow rules(regiment), or at least abide by them(civilians) its not a party here, plan to go elsewhere for that! be positive, and dont believe everything u read about this school on the net. as they were prolly written by people who didnt suceed, or didnt give it their all, or all they know to do is complain. I am a testament that this place is not, and is never going to be as bad as it sounds, or as people make it seem. ill always be proud and never ashamed to say that i attend Suny Maritime College, and if u come here. neither should u! hope u enjoyed my review:) class of '14

Don't go here if you value your education, freedom and sanity more than cold hard cash.

If it ain't windy, it ain't Maritime. Unfortunately, that means rain and snow blow sideways. Umbrellas don't cut it. Just wear layers when it's cold and navigate through buildings when it's pouring. Because IT POURS. In buckets... If you smoke, any wind-resistant lighter is a good idea. And go for 100s, because the Maritime wind will smoke half of your cigarette. Because a lot of construction is going on now, and with the snow, they're not giving out parking permits, so tons of students are parking on campus anyway and getting summonses. It's unfair; we need our cars. The furniture in the lounges sucks. Sitting on a couch at a table sucks.
