The food here really sucks.
The school is small. There didn't seem like there were a lot of students; or it was always the same groups of student going to the same events. The social scene is not that hot either, and can lean towards cliques.
There aren't many oportunities to hang out in the city on weekends.
it's cold and really uncool.
My least favorite part of Swarthmore would probably be the food. For an elite liberal arts school, Swarthmore should definitely spend more than it does on providing quality food at more affordable prices. The food is not BAD (I'd give it a 6/10), but that said, for the 2nd best liberal arts school in the country, I'd expect nothing less than an 8/10. That said, there are 4 places on campus to get food (great variety), and there are many, MANY places off campus that serve excellent and diverse cuisines.
The fact that the vast majority of people hold the same political views, many come from similar backgrounds (mostly predominantly-white suburbs and affluent public schools or good private schools), and that there is far too much self-segregation for my tastes.
