The best part about my school are the professors. They are, for the most part, open-minded, engaging, and dedicated to the growth and success of their students. Sweet Briar professors have very high expectations of their students and push them to be the very best they can be.

The welcoming atmosphere that allows for incoming freshman to make lasting bonds and a comfortable transition.

Sweet Briar is a very small women's college, with about 800 students. The size of the school really allows for a high sense of community and a less intimidating environment. As a freshman, I know all of the girls in my hall by name, and almost all of my graduating class by face. My largest academic class last year was about 15 people, my smallest was six. Needless to say, there is a lot of opportunity to interact with your professors.

The opportunities, absolutely. I've had the opportunity to study abroad and experience the world and in doing so I've come to appreciate the small, tight-knit community that Sweet Briar has. The classes are the perfect size and the professors are genuinely concerned with how you can become the best academic (and individual) you can be. ...The professors are probably the best I could have hoped for as well, they're absolutely willing to help you one-on-one and are willing to give you as much attention as needed to ensure your understanding.

Small class sizes and the availablilty of my professors.

The best thing about this school is the community. All the professors are eaily accessible and availible for help whenever a student needs it. The staff is very friendly and going out to dinner with professors or over to their houses for a study group is not uncommon. This college becomes somewhat of a family and you really do stay in touch with alumni and the people you meet here.

I think the best thing about the school is the sense of community.

It's beautiful, and the location really allows you to focus on your studies. You can, however, have amazing fun times and build life-long bonds of friendship.
