the best thing about tcc is the study area. i also like that this school is very diverse in its ways. There are endless places to study here at Tacoma Community College. This is useful because there are some computers available and there are places without computers. i even believe you are allowed to rent laptops for the day. I have found it so useful in my years at Tacoma Community College.
The best thing about Tacoma Community College, in my somewhat biased opinion, is the Learning Network. The Learning Network is the name for the various tutoring centers and resources that Tacoma Community College has devoted to assist students in their learning. The tutoring services offered by Tacoma Community College is made up mostly of students that can help with the subject matter, as well as give tips and hints as to how to be successful in both the course and school in general. I mention that I am biased because I am one of the head tutors.
The outpouring of support, not just from the instructors in general, but the entire school as a whole. Being much older than the average college student, I have found that most fellow students, and even the instructors exude a great deal of respect towards me. Having a multitude of life knowledge has been more than worthwhile to share, especially with other students. That support of knowing that someone has "been in your shoes" gives a sense of worth to both myself and most students I have shared my advice with.
I likek the smaller class sizes that Tacoma Community College offers. These allot each student the chance to ask specific questions of their professor(s) and be able to receive an individualized response which, in turn, ould benefit the class as a whole. Secondly, the students are able to be mroe productive if their professor(s) feel their students would benefit in any group work activity. Lastly, the professor(s) have less paperwork to analize and grade when teachign in a smaller classroom.
The best thing about my school currently is the diversity on the campus and the difficultyh of the classes which prepares you for the 4-year university level. The school also puts a lot of money into the the computer labs and technology to make sure everything is up to date.
