I wish I had known that it was not going to be as challenging and student orienteted as I had percieved it to be.
Well, when I came to this school I was unsure about my major and did not continue right out of high school. I was not as focused as I should have been either. I wanted to continue my education but I also needed income to support my family. I wish I had known how to manage my time between home, school, and work. I wish I would have known how to stay focused on my studies and not on outside situations like what my sisters where doing back at home. it is very important to consult with advisors on campus.
I wish I had realized if I had applied to FSU two days prior, I would have been accepted for the fall semester since my grades are good if the WFs are not included.
I wish I had known more about myself. I was always a very quiet person, and never spoke out. I wish I had that time back to realize who I am, and that fitting in with the crowd doesn't matter. It is all about being you. Finding myself is the best thing to ever happen.
I wish I could have learned more about the extensive study resources that they offer. I have just now taken advantage of the Learning Commons and the additional help that they offer for classes.
I wish i could have known how much of a difference is it going to be coming from high school. Especially coming from New Jersey to Florida, there is alot of sourrounding differences in the classrooms and out of the classrooms. I wish I was more aware of what wiill be excpeted of me in the next cuple years, and wish i was more prepared.
Before attending Tallahassee Community College I'd wish I'd known that it'll be such fun to be in college. Going into college I went in with the wrong state of mind thinking it'll be hard and a big challenge to face. Actually, the people are out to help you and see you succeed. Now that I'm comfortable with being in college I in fact love it and glad I made the decision as going to school. I've could of been anywhere else but i decided to go to college.
A) I wish I knew that I could have worked harder in some of my classes that way I could be in higher classes in my college or I could be attending Florida State right now, andB) My college is way easier than my high school because of the International Baccalaureate program I was in.
I wish I knew that the teachers are completely diferent than your usual down-to-earth, attentive teachers. The teachers at my elementary, middle, and high schools were all more worried about kids emotions, problems, and grades way more compared to the teachers in college. I might be a teacher's pet, but I can't seem to get any of my teachers' attention at TCC.
