On a typical weekend, if I do not have something important going on the next day then I will usually start Friday night off by with going to Free Food Fun Fridays or I will hit up a party. People post parties to Facebook, Twitter, they hand out fliers, you just hear them word of mouth, or you can just take a walk around the block and where ever you hear loud music, assume there's a party. Saturday morning, wake up, go to Johnson and Hardwick (J&H) for breakfast, hit the gym or go to the Pavilion (Pav) and play ball , then go to the library or chill in my room and do homework until about 5-6pm. Then get dinner, find out what everyone is doing for the night and then begin pre-party procedures. Sunday morning, go to J&H for breakfast then finish homework and proceed to chill for the rest of the day.
A typical weekend at Temple University involves going out and spending time with friends on Friday night. This usually either includes going into the city (South Street, for example), or attending a party held by one of the fraternities or a fellow student. Saturdays are usually pretty relaxing, and Saturday nights are again characterized by social activities. Finally, Sundays are usually spent doing homework for the upcoming week.
For me? I've developed kind of a routine for the weekends I stay on campus. On Fridays, I try to hit up the Reel, a student-operated movie theater that shows late releases for $2. Saturdays and Sundays are really good for eating off-campus; food on campus during the weekends isn't generally pleasant. Temple also provides all its students with 'Passports'-- books of coupons for things you can do in the city. I try to do that on weekends, too. Also, if you're religious there's tons of opportunities to worship nearby regardless of faith and religious outreach groups are super friendly.
During the day students love to go downtown and shop, eat, or just explore Philadelphia. At night time there is always a party or activity going on. If drinking at parties is not your thing there is always Free Food Fridays at the SAC where students can hang out and its free sponsored by Temple. Also there is the Reel, Temple's own movie theater which is incredibly cheap!
Varies...sometimes it is very relaxed, others it is empty, and a good portion of the time everyone is out and about the area for parties.
Celebrating the start of Greek Week members of the fraternities and sororities on campus come together to party.
