Temple University Top Questions

Do you feel like you changed a lot?

Savannah

Not at all. I feel more responsible and more independent, that's all. I don't think the school will change a person, it's more the people you choose to associate yourself with that will change you.

Jasmine

Great question. Absolutely. I went from this quiet, shy mouse to this opinionated outspoken, crazy(in a good way) person. I've experienced some amazing things here. I've also discovered some things about myself that I don't think I would've known otherwise. Before I got to college, I was the girl that just got good grades and went home. I had no interest in being involved in school. Now, I'm this outspoken firecracker that's involved in so many different things. Getting involved is also how I met some of my good friends. I've gotten so much neater (which I'm sure my mom is thrilled about.) I've learned how to manage my time effectively wjhich I couldn't really do before. I've learned to trust myself and the decisions that I make. I've also discovered that I'm funny, people around here apparently think I'm hilarious. One of the biggest changes that I'll say I've made is the fact that I go after everything now. I don't count myself out of anything, even if chances of me getting what I want is low. You never know. Go after every opportunity anyway. College has absolutely changed me for the better, and I am forever grateful for that.

Yes. I feel like I am a better version of myself. 18 to 22 is a big change. I have become much more of a leader, and I've learned what it is that I really need and want in my live vs what others tell me I should want.
