Kathy - 04/06/2023

It is an excellent university for people who don't want too small or too large of a campus, but it does come with its cons. There is a club or organization for everyone on campus. I would recommend coming to TAMIU because it is very safe and friendly. The campus is mixed with lots of nature and animals.

Dominick - 08/12/2022

It is a very good college with a lot of diversity and resources to help students. It genuinely seems like a college that cares about its students with the number of resources they provide for them. As well as the bustling campus life that makes it fun to be in with plenty of different activities for students to keep entertained.

Crystal - 11/09/2020

This university is very affordable because there is a lot of opportunities for grants, scholarships, and FAFSA. The professors that I currently have are ready to answer questions, respond fast in e-mails, and set up office hours virtually or face-to-face appointments when we need to. My academic advisor is very helpful, and always make sure that I understand when to register, what classes I need to take for my specific degree, and who to speak to in case I need permission to register for a class. The library is the best place to do homework, print out material for the class, check out any book or media for research projects, and to have a break from courses check out the Starbucks for food and drinks.

Aleila - 07/17/2020

I really enjoy attending this school. I would recommend it to anyone that is currently looking to attend a University that is not so expensive. The students and staff are so ffriendly and very willingly to help anyone that is in need or new to TAMIU. GO DUSTDEVILS!!!

Texas A & M International University FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Texas A & M International University?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Texas A & M International University is 52%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to buckle up because it's not an easy ride like high school is. I would tell myself that I better stop wanting someone to just tell me answers because in college you have to do it yourself. In high school, I would always just wait until the teacher pushed me to do my work. I would tell myself to not do that because in college, if you do not do the work there is no excuses. and you get a zero grade for that assignment. The biggest piece of advice I would tell myself is to stop procrastinating because in college that can really back fire on you, I know from experience. I am now in college and some way procrastination still finds its way upon me. It is not good at all which is why I am learning as I go to make the right decisions because college is nothing at al like high school. When teachers in high school said they were getting us ready for the real world, they really meant it.

  11. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I dont really wish to have known more than what I already knew about the school. So far, my experience has been well over all. The school does have a a couple of things that seem pointless to me like mandatory mentor meeting which, in my opinion, just stress the student out more for being forced to attend. I'm not really in need of a mentor, and if I do ever need one, i'll find myself a counselor to help me get out of whatever trouble I'm in. Other than that, i'm good.

I haven't really encountered anything frustrating about this university, since I am just seeking to complete my undergraduate studies. However, there are a few things that are annoying. For example, it is sometimes difficult to find a convenient parking space (I don't really mind) and the main offices are located far from the classes. However, these things are only annoyances they are not the cause of mass frustration.
