It really is a great school. At a big school you're always gonna find mean people and jerk professors but I feel that here there is a lot less of them. I liked the school so much that after finishing my bachelors here I am starting my masters here this fall and am very satisfied that I will be attending the same school. The staff, administration and professors are very accessible and ready to help students. Out of my four years of undergraduate studies there was only one professor I had issues with. The cafes and restaurants are greats on campus. There are convenient stores on campus for late night study sessions. The university has some of the best study spaces, libraries and lounge areas to ensure you can find the perfect spot to study. There are dozens of events on and off campus daily and on the weekends to be able to participate and even make new friends. There are also at least nine hundred organizations so there will be at least that you might enjoy. The rec center on campus is absolutely amazing and the staff is very friendly. Also I’d say the university goes a little overboard on football but its pretty normal when you are there actually at the games. We have one of the largest and loudest stadiums in the United States and Saturdays during football seasons are probably the most important besides midterms and finals. Everyone and their dog comes out for the games, people will straight paint their dogs maroon and white for game day. Overall the university is amazing.

I love Texas A&M University and the numerous aspects it has to offer. When I need help in my coursework, I have so many resources on and off-campus that will guide me to success. The campus life in TAMU is so active that you never feel there's not enough to do. Overall, I give my school a 4 out of 5.

Texas A&M is famed for having a unique culture or "Aggie Spirit." It has been said that form the outside looking in, you can't understand it, and from the inside looking out you can't explain it. While allusive to explanation, this is what you need to know about Texas A&M that makes every student, including myself, believe it is a great university. Texas A&M is full of academic and professional opportunities. In my experience, professors are readily available via email or office hours. Additionally, with over 1000 student organizations to join, every student is sure to find an organization that not only builds their resume but that they are truly passionate about. The Career Center and the Aggie Network also make finding a job or internship far less stressful for students by connecting them to potential opportunities. The university also abounds with fun and unique traditions that make you feel connected to the campus. Students partake in various traditions such as standing for whole football games, honoring aggies that have passed away at Muster, or even proposing under the Century Tree. There are many traditions that students always look forward to. Lastly, Texas A&M is wonderful because you truly can't explain the Aggie Spirit. It might be all of the students saying, "Howdy!" It might be crowds gathering the night before football games to practice the yells for the next day. It might be the somber moments we dedicate to remembering Aggies that have passed. It might be the freshman hopping in fountains, or the seniors taking a final walk with linked hands around campus. It may be all of these things and more, but it is truly, "a spirit that can ne'er be told."

The college is large enough for every student to find their place. This also means that there are resources for every need possible, and I suggest that you take advantage of what you can. Their is a problem with institutionalized racism and sexism due to it's history of being an all male military college. Though the college is trying to fix this they are not always doing the best job. Over all the University is safe, due to the motto an Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do. Their is a chance if you embrace the college as whole it is really rewarding experience, and chances to build skills and connection in any and every field.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

TAMU is a good university that tries to be inclusive and welcoming towards all students and faculty. For most majors, especially BIMS or STEM-related fields there is a higher bar of education, and it is very important to know how to study and be prepared. A&M does however prioritize some majors over others, so, for example, the Engineering buildings are constantly updated and seem very clean and unique, while many of the biology buildings are literally falling apart and constantly at risk of flood or fire. Overall however, A&M is a good school that mostly seems to care about its students.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

In my honest opinion, Texas A&M University at College Station may not be the most well funded most beautiful, most intelligent, or most prestigious campus in the country, but it is the most welcoming and homey. Everywhere, I was greeted by series of “howdy’s” and many heartwarming handshakes and gestures. This is one the defining characteristics of this college and it’s what I admire the most about it.

TAMU was my dream school. It's crazy that I dreamed of going there for so long, and didn't tour until a day before I had to decide on which college I wanted to go to. After touring, I just knew that TAMU was the place for me. I love it so much. Of course it has its flaws, but what school doesn't? College is what you make of it. I suggest making it as enjoyable as possible.

Going to Texas A&M has been the best decision I've made. Not only has it become my second home, but being away from the campus this summer has me counting down the days when I get to go back. The academics at A&M are challenging to where it pushes the students to take the extra step in the thought process, and the university does a good job of providing free on campus tutoring and study sessions for the students who want or need the extra help. The professors are all very sweet, and buy into the strong culture that makes Texas A&M so unique. You definitely work hard to earn your degree, but the university does a great job providing the extra help because in the end they want to see all their students graduate and get that Aggie gold.

Texas A&M has been a super amazing experience so far, the traditions, gamedays, Northgate on the weekends, and an amazing sense of Aggie spirit makes this place make you feel welcome. Although I am a transfer student, my first semester was not as stressful as I thought it had the potential to be. This university is meant not only for students with parents, grandparents, etc who went here but the first generation students like myself too. Thanks and Gig 'em! I Can't wait to get my Aggie ring!
