"I wish" seems like a simple statement after entering a University. There are many times that that phrase has entered my mind regarding school, my own financial capabilities, or my social life. Yet, I do not feel that I would have wanted any prior knowledge of what I know now. The discovery of becoming your own adult, your own person is what defines the college experience. The negatives can pile up: a late night cramming for a test, forgetting homework, or sleeping on an assignment and having ink stuck on your face. Yet, that "I wish" implies a different beginning.

I wish I would have known that everything was going to be easy and fun. I stressed out about moving away from home only to realize that the people here are so friendly that they make it comfortable to be living away from family. The professors are also really nice and understanding whenever something comes up; therefore, the classes are easy if you do what you're supposed to (study and go to class).

Aaron

The thing I wish I had known before I came to this school is that there's nothing to do here in kingsville ,like for an example a mall or places to go out and explore.

Daniel

Before coming to this school, I wish I would have known that some of the professors I had signed up for where disabled which caused many of the students to not acquire as much knowledge as possible. When signing for classes you are shown the class, time, and location. There is nothing against handicapped people but it can affect the way they teach or lecture and in the end only leaving the students to playing catch up rather than understanding it the very first time it was presented.

Melissa

Before coming to this school, I wish I would have known exactly which classes to take for my major. For example, some classes sound the same like computer literacy and computer information systems. By not looking into and asking my advisor about the differences, I took the wrong class and eventually had to take the other. Although it was not that bad because I made an A in both, I could have substituted the one I did not need for another class that my major required.

Keith

Don't really know of anything I wished I had known. The website offers so much information that I felt I was entering the school prepared and knew what to expect.

Gary

I wish i would have known how to better handle the work load and what to do when i make mistakes. Schools dont teach people how to deal with failures or mistakes.
