I did extensive research before deciding to go to college. There is nothing I didn't know before I joined that I know now. However, if I could go back in time to high school I wish I would have started college earlier to maximize the amount of financial aid available to me. There are droves of financial aid available to high school graduates provided they plan ahead of time for college.

I wish I had known that attending The College of Idaho was a great experience, even though I hadn't wasn't my first choice. I wish I had known not to extrapolate my entire experience there from the first semester, because the first semester can be rough. Developing friendships takes time, it takes work, and it takes the confidence to reach out to others. I wish I had known not to stress over my class schedule at the beginning of each semester. Schedules change, and faculty at this school are more than willing to help you work it out.

I’ve learned the value of eye contact and a solid handshake. I've found that communities are strengthened bypassion, involvement, and determination. I found out how to get up after falling, and how to catch someone else before they trip. Success, for me, is determined by opportunity and participation. I am proud of who I am, and excited about where I am going. I am going to make a difference in the world, because of where I come from, and what I hope the world could be like. I wish I could have told myself the importance of individuality.

Before attending college and realizing how pricey private education is, I wish I would have known how much money I needed to save for tuition, school supplies, textbooks, and basic living essentials. Now forced to live off campus, attending school full time, working full time, all on foot, I wish I would have save my pennies and had been a little wiser with my spending habits. On another note, attending a demanding college has made me wish I had been less of a procrastinator and practiced better study habits. I wish I hadn't learned the hard way!

Before coming to this school, I wish I would have known how much I would love it! I was very nervous in choosing which college to attend and even after choosing the College of Idaho, I wondered if it was the right choice. I now know that this was a great choice and I love it here! Being less nervous about the transition from High School to college would have made it much easier.

That by trying just a little harder in high school and on my SAT that my financial options would have been a lot more open, and that my financial aid package would decrease if I lived off campus.

I feared for college like nobdy's business. I was so scared to even step foot on a campus because everything about college intimidated me. Therefore, I wish that i would have known that college is not as scary as it truly is. It's more laid back than high school, and the free spirit that i truly am was able to be unleashed.
