The College of Wooster Top Questions

Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

Not so much. There are absolutely kids from upper class families that attend Wooster, but there are many students here on very generous scholarships that could not afford a Wooster education without them.

I'm not sure that eccentric is the right word to describe us. I would definitely say we have a diverse campus of students from different cultures, backgrounds, and even socio-economic classes. Some students may fit under the umbrella term of "eccentric" but we also have students of all kinds.

Some say most of the students at Wooster are stuck-up white kids, but this is definitely not the case. Wooster feels very diverse although the majority of the students are white. Diversity comes from our socioeconomic differences and various backgrounds.
