I visited the Sage College of Albany and much to my surprise I really enjoyed the visit. I had a few other colleges in mind but once I saw what they had to offer I committed to going there that day.

The Sage Colleges offers small class sizes, which is greatly beneficial to students and aids in learning. Additionally, the professors, for the most part, are very attentive, knowledgeable, and form relationships with their students. In terms of improvement, the Sage Colleges could explore renovations to their Troy, NY campus, such as in the Science Hall, as well as expand parking on both the Albany and Troy campus.

The Sage Colleges is a school that you grow to love. Coming from a very busy urban area, switching to the small closed campus takes getting used to at first, but afterwards it's great. The classes are fairly small, which means you get to have better relationships with your teachers and classmates. There's always someone to talk to or turn to if you need any help. Sage is overall a great school which I'm grateful to be attending.

Russell Sage is one big family, the traditions are plentiful and there are a lot of clubs to join. It is also fairly easy to create a club if you want to. It is also relatively easy to change majors. A unique feature is that you can take classes either at Russell Sage or the Sage College of Albany campuses. There are great people and staff here.

    Someone that is dedicated and willing to put forth a lot of effort. They must be driven and competitive. An individual who is outgoing and seeks out extracurricular activities and hobbies will be viewed favorably. This person must be good at multitasking or time management.

  7. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

    Even though we are located in Troy, NY, are campus is full of beautiful Victorian houses as dorms. Also the fact that it is an all-women's college promotes women in everything we do. But don't get me wrong, just because it is a single-sex college doesn't mean we are sexist. We have a great staff consisting of equal amounts of men and women. We have a lot of opportuinites to suggest an idea and completely go through with it, which I think, is a real way of obtaining knowledge.

    The main thing I brag about is it fun school work I get. What I am learning about takes me beyond my major it is life experiences that I will take with my forever. It makes it so easy to learn :)

    I knew mostly everything I had to know, I did alot of research so I think I was pretty weel informed.

    There was quite a bit of crime in the immediate area surrounding the campus.

  13. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    The fact that it is an all girls school and there are a lot of feminists. Another frustrating thing is financial aid. It seems as though you can not attend a private instiution unless you are from a wealthy family. I have to work full time while attending the school full time in order to squeak by and even earn any credits.

TUITION & AID

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
