Our professors at Southern are some of the most qualified and engaging teachers I've ever had. They have all had ministry experience and so can bring practical considerations to the classroom lectures while still keeping it intellectually rigorous. Many serve as pastors and some have spent decades church-planting overseas. The profs at our school are theologians and yet still down to earth, all while writing the books that students and profs at other ministry schools are reading.
The beautiful, historic campus. We have beautiful buildings and beautiful landscaping. Also the rich history of the school. Many teachers write their own books which are used as textbooks, the president is on CNN and FoxNews a lot. The faculty and teachers genuinely love the students, even inviting us to their house for food! The school also boasts the world's third largest theological library. The cafeteria is average but Founder's cafe has delicious soup, salads, sandwiches, and coffee drinks. SBC students also receive 50% off tuition and the housing is very affordable. Rooms are big.
