The University of Alabama is a great school where you will not only receive an excellent education, but also have a good time. There are over 500 clubs and organizations on campus so it is easy to find a group where you feel you belong. In addition, UA has tons of athletics that are fun to watch and participate in.

I am both an alumni and current graduate student at the University of Alabama, and I can't imagine attending any other school. UA is the perfect balance of academics, social scene, overall atmosphere, community, and extracurricular activities. Being a high achieving student entering the engineering field, it was important for me to attend a college where academics were a priority. Alabama was just that and more. They have brand new facilities and one of a kind programs to help enrich your academic success. I was selected to be a part of the STEM-MBA program, which is one of the first of its kind, that allows students to receive a STEM field undergraduate degree and an MBA in only 5 years. Not only were academics important but so was the social aspect. I pledged a sorority my freshman year, and I could not recommend UA Greek Life enough. It is a large and diverse community that is philanthropy oriented. With a majority of UA's students being from out of state, you are introduced to a wide variety of people from all different backgrounds. The whole town is a community, and even the locals are welcoming. If you love football, UA is perfect for you. The Fall semesters revolve around gameday and the Crimson Tide. There are plenty of shops and fun things to do around the area, and Birmingham is only a 40 minute drive away. I can't recommend UA enough to anyone out there. I have found my home here, and I couldn't imagine my college years any other way!

The University of Alabama is a great school with a welcoming environment. The professors are always accessible and are there to help you succeed. Along with good academics and courses to take, there are also fun experiences outside the classroom, such as game days.

I absolutely love Alabama. I can not wait to go back after the summer. It is the best decision I've made and I'm so glad that they accepted me. I honestly did not want to come home for the summer because I made so many friends and didn't want to leave them. I can't wait to further my education and meet new people in the upcoming years.

The thought of The University of Alabama only being forty five minutes away from home was rather terrifying but it turned into a complete joy. As I was eliminating colleges from my list, The University of Alabama was the first I got rid of because it was near to home. I absolutely knew I was going to attend college far away from the state of Alabama as I possibly could.. The University of Alabama was nowhere near my mind for a very long time, until my final college decisions were between Kennesaw State University and The University of Alabama. I finally decided to take a college tour of The University of Alabama and it was the most unbeatable college tour I experienced, with such friendly staff, such spacious dormitories, as well as the best football team in the nation. The following week of the college tour, I had a feeling that The University of Alabama would be the perfect place for me to earn my college degree. Once I arrived at The University of Alabama to structure my dorm I immediately fell in love once again. My dorm was so spacious, It was occupied by myself and three other females, I had my own room and shared the bathroom with one other as well as the common area with all three girls (I highly recommend staying on campus). Being alone and not knowing anyone on campus, I met so many people throughout the first few weeks of school due to the activities that was planned for the students. The University of Alabama has numerous greek organizations and clubs, therefore no one should feel alone nor obligated to find a specific club or organization. The professors at The University of Alabama are very well-educated and helpful when it comes to office hours and one on one time with each student. During football season at The University of Alabama is an adventure everyone should experience. I always look forward to game day Saturdays, the games are always so intense and the student section is best part of the game. Tailgating and participating in the game day activities makes The University of Alabama feel like home. The University of Alabama is definitely a place many people should suggest to earn their college degree.

Alabama has truly given me a home away from home. I feel completely safe on and off campus. I also believe that I am getting a quality education that will help me obtain my goal of taking my education a step further to graduate school. Alabama has also given me an extraordinary set of friends who push me to better myself not only academically but with my extracurriculars as well. I am beyond thrilled to return this fall for my sophomore year.

Before I started my freshman year I was told that college would be the best four years of my life. They were right. My time at The Capstone has been more than I could have ever imagined. From football games to student government there are more opportunities than I could possibly take up. With a growing student body the administration, faculty and staff work diligently to ensure that there are enough opportunities to grow as citizens, scholars and leaders for each student, and truly there is no lack. With only one year left at The Capstone I am already sad that I have to leave the most beautiful campus I have ever set eyes on with a community that truly lives out 'Southern Hospitality'. I will surely be back as an alumnus to cheer on The Tide and sip on some sweet tea on a front porch. Roll Tide Roll!
