The University of Findlay defiantly is not for everyone. It is small and there is not a lot to do around the school so that forces people to get out of their shells and join campus life and make friends. The food from the dining hall is really hit or miss, the breakfast is very good but dinner is normally bland. The refinery is where you can use your campus dollars and I enjoy the variety that it offers. I like the University of Findlay because I like to have a small group of friends and a small class size, but I can see how that would be a negative aspect for some people.
The University of Findlay has an excellent Animal Science program and a well-planned and thought-out Pre-vet program. The University of Findlay is a very clean and safe campus with many friendly faces. The University also has gorgeous horse farms for both the English riders and the Western riders. The campus has built-in support systems whether it's for a student's mental health, physical health, or if they need help in a class. The staff and faculty are very nice and are always willing to help out.
The atmosphere and culture of the campus community is very supportive and welcoming. The professors, extracurriculars, sports, and hands-on learning, as well as the animal science barns, equestrian facilities, and athletic facilities, are excellent. Housing, especially the upperclassmen options, are good, and the campus is safe. The faculty and staff are friendly and accommodating, and want to help students succeed in all aspects of their time at Findlay, not just academically but also through personal growth.
It is a beautiful campus and just an all-around great place to be, and I can't wait to spend more time there in the fall. I felt extremely safe on the campus and felt it would be a great place to learn. I enjoyed the hands-on approach to my major.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for The University of Findlay is 72%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell myself to start looking at colleges because I waited too long to decide and choose.
I wish I knew more about the surrounding community of Findlay.
The quality of person that the University of Findlay requires, at least in the Psychology/Philosophy departments, must possess an open mind and a willingness to explore the beliefs of others. The person should be community-oriented and willing to offer their time. A deep commitment must be made in the classroom as well as a hardened character, or ability to break free from comfort zones and explore the world of relationships, opportunities, and experiences that Findlay has to offer.
The majority of my classmates are fun and outgoing, but everyone is very serious about their studies.
What I love about the University of FIndlay is that it has a small school feel but I see a new person everyday on campus. I like not just being a "face" in my classes and having personal relationships with my professors. That is important to me.
Academics
I think the best thing about my school is the people here are all very friendly and helpful, I have made alot of friends from all over the country and am having alot of fun!
The worst thing about my school is the very high cost. It's very difficult for the average student to find funds to attend a private university like The University of Findlay. Luckily, they offer scholarships for academic acheivement and individual talent.
Although Findlay is a small university, there is always something to do!
a person who likes big city life
#1 Equine School in the Country
My major is not one of the big ones at this school, so my education is not as good as it could be in a location that was more supportive of my major. Also, the campus is not very exciting and filled with culture, so I always find myself comparing it to life in the city where there is much more diversity and individualism to be found.
