The University of Findlay is a great school. It is a small school with just over 3,000 students. With small class sizes the professors really get to know the students. The animal science program is extremely hands on which is uncommon for undergraduate. They have three barns, English, western, and pre-vet. Students in those majors are out there multiple hours almost every day. The university is very accommodating and want to make sure their students succeed. They have multiple support programs in place to see that they do. For housing there are multiple options. They have all female dorms, co-ed by floor, and some with a half bath. The dorms are dated but there is air conditioning, free wifi, and streaming. There is also off campus housing as well. Dinning options include eating at the dinning hall in a buffet style or eating around campus. A few local places are also on the meal plan so you do not always have to eat on campus. There are a number of different sports available to join including baseball, volleyball, cross country, and western and English riding. There are other sports not mentioned above. The university also has a gym, rock wall, and workout equipment available to student for no extra charge. There are numerous opportunities to get involved with the arts. From different local musicians coming in to play, poetry reading, plays, and art galleries. There is a way to get involved with all the different aspects of the arts. The are a ton of clubs and organizations to join, major specific clubs, religious clubs, service-oriented clubs, and clubs that just meet for fun. If there is not a club that appeals to you, you can always start your own. There is something for everyone. The campus is on the safest I have ever seen. Nothing ever happens and it has been years since the last major incident. The University in addition to having the local police portal also has its own police force. They take the safety of everyone seriously. Overall, the University of Findlay is great school. The programs and professors are good. They have so many different extracurricular opportunities. The housing could be better. The campus is safe and the town is quite and cute. If your looking for a low-key, serious school the University of Findlay is the place.

I LOVE The University of Findlay! I have only visited, however, everyone was awesome and very welcoming. I believe that I have found my college-home, and I am excited about the new friends and experiences I will make. A few of the deciding factors that clinched my decision were: quality of facilities (everything is beautiful), dry campus, access to cows to work with (UF is one of the only colleges in the United States that has live cows for students to work with), and campus is close to town.

The University of Findlay is a place where learning is active through one's stay. In my major of animal science your are given pratical experience with animals from day one where other colleges and universities don't offer that kind of experience. I love how professors are an email or a quick walk away form the comfort of one's dorm, and how they're always willing to help you.

I absolutely love the campus and the staff. The staff is always willing to help out the students with anything they would need and is completely flexible to the students schedules. The campus is so well kept and is constantly being updated to more modern design and comfort for the student body. The students are friendly to work with.

During my time at the University of Findlay I was highly involved in the Animal Science and Equestrian programs. I loved being out at the barns and on campus. I met a lot of new people during my time at UF. I was also involved in extracurricular activities such a being a resident assistant and working at the animal science barns. The University of Findlay was truly my home away from home. I loved being a student here so much I am actually now employed through UF as an animal science/equine admissions counselor. Go Oilers!

I visited the University of Findlay two weeks ago and it was the best college visit I have been on. You immediately feel like you are apart of a family. The head of admissions stared of his welcome with a story about his kid. You felt a strong sense of community there. Their grounds were so clean, there was not one piece of trash anywhere.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Findlay is a very small and quiet school. It is the kind of school where you might be the only person in the dining hall or gym on the weekends, and the walk from your dorm to a campus building might be one completely alone. There is no partying even if you tried to find it. It is small and quiet sometimes to the point of being eerie. The animal science program and barns are the best and most enjoyable part of the school. The dining options are poor. You see the same people over and over again, which some people might enjoy. The academics seem to be okay, but not for the outrageous private school price. Overall the barns are great, but campus life and academic-wise it is just not worth it to attend this University.

The University of Findlay is an awesome school. It is a fun place, but it is clear that the focus of the students is to get a good education and do well in classes. The professors really push students past their limits, but if you show the effort and that you want to succeed, they will be there to help you along. It is a matter of will. If you have a vision you are willing to put in effort for, there will always be someone there to guide you in the right direction and help you succeed.

Most everything is pretty good overall. I enjoy on campus life and activities, and the academics are pretty good. However, anyone going there looking for Western Equestrian major will be sorely disappointed. The instructors are extremely biased towards you based on what discipline you ride, and good luck f they don’t like your horse, they will purposefully ruin your grade. If you’re not one of their ”favorites”, you’ll either be ignored completely or be chased out of the program. The horse are sub-par, the facilities and care are awful, and your “education” is laughable at best. If you’re coming here for horses, look somewhere else.
