Gorgeous, open campus with wildlife, and the people are very friendly and accepting.

I would say that the unique thing about the University of Montana is that for being in Montana (people associate Montana with being out in the wilderness) it is very diverse. The ting I loved about it from the first time I stepped foot onto campus was the people. Everybody is so friendly and open with eachother, I definitely made quite a few life long friends my first year of school. Plus, if you love the outdoors, you couldn't ask for a better place to go to school.

The University of Montana is located in one of the most beautiful cities and in one of the most beautiful states. It is close to home for me, but far enough away that I feel like I'm on my own. The student body is very like-minded, laid back, friendly, and environmentally minded. Students enjoy spending copious amounts of time outside, enjoying all that western Montana has to offer.

The first thing people say when they go to Missoula is "the people are so friendly!" Missoula is that perfect sized town with all the things someone could need- mountains for hiking outdoors or skiing, a river that runs through the middle of town for floating or boating on, beautiful scenes of mother nature all year round, and a good healthy community who likes to be outside and involved.
