The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is a great school! There are so many opportunities on campus. Also, the campus is large but you easily know if your are on campus or not and it's not spread throughout the city. Knoxville's downtown is right next to campus which makes it really easy to find things to do! Classes are a good size and professors are always open to meet.

It's a university immersed in the culture of Tennessee. You are surrounded by orange and old buildings that convey a strong sense of tradition and appreciation for the accomplishments there are in the history of the university and the state. Overall, there is a community for each person to establish themselves into.

UT is a school where you get what you put in. If you're there to party, have fun, and be part of the "C's get degrees crowd", you can certainly do that. If you're there to study hard, make the grades, and interact with faculty and fellow intellectuals, you can do that too. There's an opportunity for everyone there. Also, football season is the best.

The University of Tennessee is like a world of its own. I came from a small town with not much to do and that offers little. By attending UTK, I have become more engaged in activities I enjoy as well as had new experiences of things I have never done. The atmosphere when on UT's campus is honestly indescribable. It is like its own world that provides endless opportunities as well as help in any area needed. I am now excited to attend school and pursue my future.

I am studying at my dream school. I've loved the university ever since my parents took me to a football game when I was in middle school. What I really fell in love with was the band. I am now a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at the University of Tennessee, and though I live for gamedays, I enjoy my time with my studies during the week. I am pursuing a particularly challenging major, while double-majoring in Medical Lab Sciences and minoring in Psychology. My advisor has been really helpful in aiding in planning classes, working towards research, and helping me manage my time. I really love this university and I believe if you want to attend here, you should apply as soon as you can! Go Vols!

This is a great school if you are into massive environment and big game days. UT Knoxville has a wide variety of majors to choose from. Also, there are several fraternities and sororities for students who are interested in Greek life. In addition, there are several clubs and organizations for all students of different lifestyles and cultures to get involved in.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The academics are vigorous, and I have loved my professors. The campus is beautiful and spacious, and there are an abundance of extracurricular activities and adventures. The dorms and food are also great, but alcohol, drugs, and safety on campus are still a concern.

When I first began applying to colleges, I was actually scared to apply to the University of Tennessee: Knoxville. Growing up not far from the school’s campus in a nearby city, I knew that the school campus was large and that football was a major focus of the school. Despite my fears of ever getting lost on such a large campus, I applied to the university and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. Although the campus is large, I have yet to get lost. The campus also has emergency call posts set up all over campus which makes me feel much safer when I have to walk to my car after taking an evening class. When it comes to dining, the food choices are great! There is definitely a variety of food choices that are offered, although I do wish there were healthier food options and dining available on campus. Most of the professors are available to help outside of class time, which leads to better success (at least for me personally). The University of Tennessee may receive the most recognition for its sports, especially football, yet there is so much more that it offers besides sports that are worth speaking about. It is a place to let your voice be heard, but more importantly it is a place of diversity. Walking around campus, you can meet so many people from so many different places in the world and learn about their cultures. Beyond that, the thing I love most about the university is that they prepare you for your future career by opening doors for experiences and opportunities relevant to your career field. There are always opportunities to volunteer, join a club or society, study abroad, or even participate in an internship, and they make sure that everyone has the chance to be informed about those opportunities. They genuinely care about preparing students for their future careers, and work to make sure students get the experiences they need before ever applying for their dream job, and that is what is worth speaking about when talking about the University of Tennessee: Knoxville.

I love UT!! The campus is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the academics and campus life are both awesome. Football games, concerts, and all kinds of entertainment are present, and there are always opportunities to get involved in something you are passionate about.
