Hicks, country kids
They're overzealous partiers and love orange.
That UTK is an easy college because it is the south where "stupid rednecks" are.
That it's a southern state school, and that we have a great football team, and a great greek system.
UTK students are all known to be people who party and go out to get drunk all the time. A person cannot have a great college experience without drinking and partying.
We are a huge party school that only cares about sports, particularly football.
Unaware of any
wealthy, big University (your just a number at the University of Tennessee)
It's a party school that is reflected around sports and sports activities. It is also a school where there is a large greek social atmosphere as well.
UTK is considered to be one of the biggest party schools. ive been to my fair share of parties but i can also say that if you wanna avoid the party scene its really easy. people think if you come to UT then you party...not true. UTK students are pretty cool...i haven't met any one that i really clash with.
That everyone here is a hick and southern. A lot of people think UT is a school for people who didn't get in to anywhere else too.
That they are all hicks, which is not true at all no one has on overalls and no teeth and all come from farms. It's not country music and nothing else, all kinds of music are good here. No one is going to hate you because you are from the north, they kinda think its cool that you are different from them.
That it is an easy school to get into.
A stereotype is that UTK doesn't care about education and only cares about our athletic teams.
Country, Party School,
I think the general one is that we are party people!
They party all of the time...
Everyone believes that we are a party school and that's all we do here.
Very greek. And southern, which kind of correlates with dumb.
Some stereotypes that I heard before I came here (since I am from so far away), is that UT is a party school. Everyone that comes to visit says they couldn't go to school and succeed here due to the active social scene and how there is always something exciting happening to take away from study time. Another stereotype is that everyone likes football. Another is that the class size is so large teachers won't be able to accomodate each student.
its a big party school, classes are too big
It has a lot of red-necks.
Sorority and Fraternity people, athletes
That all we do is go out and party. Most students I know are more into study that the "stereotypic party school" we are made out to be. Also, people think that all the students do is watch football, we are a diverse school with excellent academics that also happens to boost an excellent athletic program. Overall, students I know that attend other schools seem to think that all we do is go out, get drunk, and act stupid.
They drink and watch football 24/7
also they never study
That we are all party animals and only like to get drunk all the time.
The school is too big.
A big party school.
ut is just a party school
Everyone is a crazed football fan.
Most people are in a sorority or fraternity and thus preppy and conceeded
that we party too much
A stereotypes about UTK students is that we are all real "country" and "southern".
They aren't as classy as other students in the southeast. This may be due to the behavior of our football fans.
That we are hicks and party a lot.
UT is a party school, the students are rednecks & drunks, & that it's an easy school to get into.
That it is a party school.
That you can get good grades without trying.
That we are hillbillies
That everyone here parties constantly. UTK is supposedly a huge party school.
Soroity girls are rich, slutty, stuck up, dumb blondes. Frat guys just want some and then they'll forget about you
That UTK is only into sports and that we are a party school. That UTK students drink 24/7 and don't really care about grades.
stuck up, too much pride
I have heard that UTK is a party school with drunks as students, i have heard that UTK is trashy and dirty.
I think some stereotypes about UT is when it comes to football season. Tennessee fans come across very rude and often times redneck. I think also that our student body dresses more casual during football season than other SEC schools.
That we are all country people. And that we marry our cousins.
UTK is super into football, the students aren't smart, everyone drinks to excess
The only stereotype I have ever heard about UTK and UTK students is that we are all alcoholics that start drinking at 8 in the morning on the weekends...and every other day of the week for that matter.
Everyone is Greek
Everyone is hick
