The lack of care for the students. All UTA wants is money and I wish I would have know that because I would not have attended at all.
I wish I had known that although UT Arlington is not as "popular" as many of the other well known Texas universities, it is still a great school and deserves more credit than it receives. Not having a football team doesn't mean there isnt anything to enjoy here. Arlington is full of diversity and new places to go, new restaruants to try and its smack in the middle of DFW!
That there advisors in the College of Business do not help you graduate on time...
How to budget.
That it was more of a commuter school, and that the campus cleared on the weekends. I may have chosen to live at home instead of moving to campus if I would have known this.
Take upper level classes and lower level classes together.
That the parking is pretty bad.
Its funny, but I thought every major city especially in Texas had a bus . If I had known that, I would have factored in needing to buy a car.
Sometimes I feel like there are a lot of opportunities to get involved, but the few times that I have tried to contact a couple of different organizations, I never got responses back.
How many student activities there were, I was really surprised about finding out that alot of the academic majors have clubs and societies for there students as well as intramural sports. It was kind of shocking to see how culturally diverse the campus was, it was a great surprise though. However on the negative list I wish I'd known more about the parking rules, I ended up with a ticket. Opps.
How rough the drive would be. I drive 12 hours a week, 400 miles to attend UTA.
I wish that I had known more people - social networking.
How to be study better.
I wish I had known that going to school for a boy, even if you love him, was not intelligent
its all good
What professors to take and what classes did not transfer from community colleges.
The class size
I wish I had know how dead the campus would be on weekends.
I wish I had known that there was not enough parking near the buildings where I have class and I wish I had known that the Education Department has no specific building (just parts of 3 buildings) and that the College of Engineering has 5...
I wish I would?ve known how many options and good professors are available at UTA for English majors. Beforehand I had heard nothing of the school?s English program and somewhat dreaded it, but after my first few major-level courses, I?m already quite impressed and proud of my own improvement.
