- Parking on campus is expensive, that is why you will see alot of students choosing to use the buses or ride bikes to class. Living in Texas, it is hard to get by without a car but most students choose not to take their car to campus. The city of Austin is very friendly to bicyclists as well as those with motorbikes or scooters! - The introductory classes can get quite large, as in about 350 students. This makes alot of freshman feel lost. However, more students means a greater opportunity to meet people! If you are really intent on having the professor know your name and to be on personal terms with them, then feel free to attend office hours and ask questions in class. Just because the class is large, does not mean that you have to be anonymous, it just takes a little effort.
