My classmates come from many different counties such as China, England, India, Czech Republic. It is beautiful that you do not need to travel and you are still able to know the world.

By the year 2014/2015 I would have graduated highschool. I've been to the college campus a few times and everyone I have met is friendly.

There is an amazing amount of diversity in the student body at UT Dallas. Students are friendly and academically focused as well.

My classmates are all very unique and not afraid to be themselves, but the majority are also very gifted and determined to succeed in whatever career they pick.

What are your experiences with racial, religious, LGBT, socio-economic, and/or other groups on campus? UTD is a very inclusive and welcoming school. The high proportion of international students really incentivized the administration to spur the development for groups for every demographic, and they've definitely succeeded in this role. What kind of students would feel out of place at this school? African Americans and Native Americans are very small minorities at the University of Texas at Dallas. However, they shouldn't fell discouraged, as the school reaches out to them. What do most students wear to class? Really casual clothes. There are no dominate cliques or fashions on campus. There are four tables of students at the dining hall. Describe them. 1. International Students 2. Nerdy students who fully embrace and live out UTD's stereotype 3. Normal American students who are here on scholarship that didn't go Greek 4. Students in fraternities and sororities Where are most of the students from? By and large, the students are either a) from Texas, particularly Dallas or b) International. There are very few students from around the country, and UTD is definitely still a commuter campus. What financial backgrounds are most prevalent? UTD follows a bell curve in terms of its students' financial backgrounds. There are students from wealthy and lower income households, but most of us are from the middle class. Are students politically aware / active? Are they predominantly left, right or center? Students aren't very politically aware or active, and as a result, I can't say with a whole lot of confidence what political ideology dominates the campus. This primarily stems from the international students who are unable to play a role in domestic politics.

UTD has an extremely diverse student body; every race, sexual orientation, gender, nationality, religion, and culture is represented here. You will feel out of place here if you are uncomfortable being surrounded by people who are not like you. If there are four tables at the dining hall one is full of indians, one is full of asians, one is full of eccentric/hipster/nerdy types, and the other is most likely a mixed race group of athletic looking people. Most people here that I have met come from middle class backgrounds. Everyone here plans on earning a lot of money in the future.

Most all the classmates on campus were dedicated and motivated, of course this varies from person to person--but there was not one night where you wouldn't walk into the library at 1am without seeing study groups researching answers.

No one discusses or acknowledges the races. Black student would most likely feel out of place at UTD. There really are not very many interracial communications. Students are not politically aware or active. Student at UTD are here for one thing, not to pursue a career or field they enjoy or know anything about, but to get a degree to get a job in a high paying field.

UT Dallas is a surprisingly diverse school. We have a large number of students from India, China, Taiwan, and other places. That is not really a big issue on campus. In class we cooperate and talk freely with each other. Outside of class you will see some groups that all look alike, but more of them that are a mix of races and religions. Mostly, we are far more concerned with our grades than who is sitting next to us.

There is no student that would feel out of place at UT Dallas!

UTD is very diverse, races range from hindu to christian. Every race and religion is represented on campus. A student who wants to go to college and party would feel very out of place at UTD. Most of the student population is very focused on academics. Most students are from the Plano/Richardson area. Upper middle class is the most prevalent socioeconomic group. Students always talk about what they learn.

The students at UT Dallas come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We see great interactions from different social groups. The general dress is casual. I think everyone could find a place at UTD.

Students at UTD are like neighborhood kids, with student organizations as their families. The interaction between students, student organizations and even teachers in UTD makes it feel nothing less than home.

UT Dallas is a very diverse group of students. I think that you can find just about every ethnicity, religion, etc. on UT Dallas.

No student would feel out of place at UTD. UTD is a university that has a multi-cultural and multi-diverse student body and we are proud of that. All students interact among each other and are interested in excelling in the university and as they move onto jobs.

My classmates are from a variety of backrounds as UT Dallas is known for its international program, so many cultures are represented in every class that I take.

My classmates are ambitious,bright,intelligent and open-minded individuals who help each other in and out of the classroom and i'm positive they will make great impacts in the world.

So many social groups or organizations on campus. And people here did not judge you whether or not you have a religion. I like other students here, they are always nice, kind and willing to offer help.

Interaction among study is encourages through coursework by itself and students organization and clubs.

I love that UTD is so diverse. I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures.

There are mix nationalities and culture in the university. But one thing in common is that they come to study, get good grades and help each other to go along together. Most classes have TA who can assist students to better understand the course materials. In addition, many students are forming the study group themselves in an attempt to work thru homework and exams.

Since there is so much diversity at UTD, I do not feel like anyone ever really gets left out here. You may find a lot of students from the Indian background at the school but ot everyone really stays in just their groups, people mingle. You see interaction between students at the Coment cafe, playing pool in the Student Union, and even at school events.

Last 2 years of my stay in the school, never come across any racial issues/tensions..I see a lot of people from different racial backgrounds and the environment is great...never heard any political discussions in the campus.

There are many diffferent international students on campus. It is very diverse. The one thing I would change is to have a Persian Student Organization because I am of Persian decent at it would be a great organization to carry out Persian cultural anhestry.

I dont personally believe that any students would feel out of place at UTD. There is such a diverse student body to begin with. Most students just wear casual clothes to class, such as: jeans and tennis shoes. Many of the international students don't really interact with other students, but those of there own ethnicity. Most UTD students are from Dallas, but originally grew up in foreign countries in the Middle east and Asia.

Very balanced diversified environment. Professional attire. Intelligent people.

Besides those American students, I think the two biggest international student group are Indians and Chinese. As far as we know, most of the Chinese students are from Mid-Class families and supported by their parents. Therefore we spend most time on study. As for politics, we are not that interested cause we wanna focus on our study and that is our main goal.

It is not hard to find a group of friends that you fit in with really well and share interests with.

Working two jobs and one internship I barely have time to breathe, but many students are realistic in terms of where the want to be. But there are some that have their heads way too far down in the sand or way too far up in the clouds.

Students at UT Dallas are professional.

Many students in the MBA program have valuable work experience from the high tech employers all around.

There are a multitude of groups to join at UTD, both academic and recreational. Just about anything you're interested in has some sort of group dedicated to it.

Everyone gets a long.

Because a lot of students of School of Management is part-time student, most student will wear formal.

The student population at UT Dallas Scool of Management is very diverse. The students have very competitive academic backgrounds which helps making the classes more challenging and interesting. In general, the students have very good team work skills.

In my experience at UTD all the students are very easy to talk to and get along with. Everyone aslo seems to be serious about their education.

There are a lot of international students at UTD. They come from all of the word such as Europe, Taiwan, Korea, China, Japan and so on. If you are a business student, you will know how important it is. The world today is a global society, students have responsibilities to know the new things from other countries. I think UTD is providing the best chance to join the word family.

UT Dallas has a very very very diversified student body and everyone will feel embraced here.

Diverse. This defines the UTD population. With students from all over the world it's one of the most diverse campuses. This creates a wonderful cultural experience. From student organizations to the art and productions on campus, the diversity effects everything.

UTD is ethnically diverse and has many different people from different areas.

The student body is very diverse. There are many ethnicities, religions and perspectives, and UT Dallas really embraces all these differences. The majority of the students are very academically driven. UT Dallas is unique because many of the students live off-campus, so campus life is not like other universities...YET. There are all types of students: trendy and hip to nerdy and sophisticated.
