Describe the students at your school.

UT Dallas has a very diverse student body. There are students here from all cultures and religions. However, this does not mean students here are any less friendly to each other. I have made friends with fellow students from all different kinds of backgrounds.

I have never been in a more diverse environment then here at UT Dallas. Since the University has such a ride range of students, everyone is open to different type of religions, ideas, philosophies, etc.

The student body at UTD is quite diverse both racially and socio-economically. I haven't seen this much diversity since leaving the military which makes for a great learning environment because you get multiple points of view that you would never think of on your own.

A lot of the students commute. It is a multi-cultural school for sure. A lot of Asian and Indians so it makes for a great way to come outside of your "bubble."

Many of the students who go here were not what you considered 'normal' in high school, but when they came here and realized there were individuals like them, they were ecstatic and professed this over and over. Even when they have differing opinions about politics or religion, they're able to express their opinions without seeking to change others.

UTD is neither religious nor racial. Lots of international students and out-of state student makes UTD a naturally diverse university. Interaction with other international students is really a different experience. We usually talk about courses and extracurricular activities.

That in itself factors in the versatility of not only the students, but also the professors and staff who accomodate this diversity. The student body at UTD is very mixed. We had students from the USA and around the world, which made some classes a lot of fun. There are no racial or religious issues that I know of at UTD, and becuase of the lack os issues, students were very open to discuss their own unique backgrounds. Since the students there are from "everywhere", you get exposed to all ethics, religions, and races....very cool and interesting. Oh by the way, even though some (very few) of my professors where from foreign countries, I did understand every word they said, this was not an issue at UTD as I know it is at other schools.
