I don't believe in judging the kind of person that shouldn’t attend this school, simply because school can change people. Who am I or anyone to say or decide what kind of person shouldn’t have the same opportunity to go this school. It's not up to us to decide or prejudge someone; it's up to that individual to decide whether he is someone of value not for the school but for him to pursue a career to become someone better in life.

Because UTEP's student body is quite diverse, there are few people who wouldn't find at least a small niche within UTEP. From athletes to bookworms, there's something for everyone. So, really, the only kind of person who shouldn't attend UTEP is one who is not truly dedicated to learning and improving themselves and their communities.

I would personally encourage every student out there to attend UTEP, but if they are the sort of students that are not looking into college in a academic point of view, then try to avoid UTEP. El Paso is a calm city with little nightlife. So if just going to school isnt your thing, try another school.

The kind of person that is here for the social life and does not have any sense of respect for the profession.

I would recommend that students that don't perform well in large learning environments (meaning high occupancy courses) seek their education at a smaller, private university. A private university I think would allow for a more intimate learning experience, in which the student would gain a more individual sense of the education being presented to them. Seldom being in classes less that 75 individuals, I find it more difficult (albeit not impossible) to establish a good relationship right the professor.

There is no specific type of student that should not attend my University. College is an opportunity given to all people and there is no one who should be denied that right. The University of Texas at El Paso is welcome to all students that are willing and trying to complete a college education. I believe there is no classification as to who and who cannot go to any college university. If there is the will power and determination in any human being they should be allowed to go to the college of their choosing.

To come to UTEP, you have to be open-minded. You have to be willing to interact with other people, not just your “own”. There are so many different types of ethnicities, so many different sororities, and even more, extreme variety of ages on students. Anyone who comes to UTEP can be a UTEP Miner, they only need to allow themselves to truly be one.

After I graduated from high school, I was worried what the new chapter of my life would be like. Since I came from a foreign country I thought adapting to a culture would be difficult, but instead the people around me made it enjoyable, and today I call each one of them my friend. The students in the University of Texas at El Paso are competitive to be among the top students in the nation, they care for other and help them with a smile, and they are interested to be part of the solution to the problems we face.

Any kind of person should attend UTEP. It is a campus full of very open minded, not judgemental and very frendly people. No one discriminates any one based on their religion, gender, sexual orientation and/or personality. It really is a very amazing school, other than if their degree is not available I believe everyone and anyone who wants should attend.

Someone who is conservative, intolerant, unable to attend class regularly, and has very high expectations of fellow students should not attend this school

Everyone should attend this school. Because we are so diverse in culture and ethnicity, anybody can get used to being here. Everyone is accepted for who they are, no matter where they come from. And even those students who wish to pursue a career that we may not offer here, we strongly recommend them to come here and complete their basics to later transfer. Surprisingly, many of these students change their minds and decide to stay here. We are like a family, everyone is more than welcome here. Every student can attend, we will receive him/her with open arms.

There is no one who shouldn't attend UTEP. This a university where everyone is able to accomodate to their own personal preferences. Successful people who at first did not know what they wanted to do with their lives graduated from UTEP and have become very successful within the El Paso community. This university allows you the ability to explore and find yourself when it comes to academics and extra curricular activities. It prepares you for not only that but for whatever may be thrown at you in life.

UTEP is an open campus and welcomes all types of personalities with open arms. UTEP is not a conservative school, but an imaginative and spirited campus, thus, I believe there is no such thing as a kind of person that should not attend this school.

If you don't enjoy having Spanish and English sometimes spoken simultaneously in the classroom than this would not be the college for you. Most of the students who attend this university and probably the majority of faculty and staff are bi-lingual in Spanish and English and use a mixture within in the context of their interpersonal and professional communication. Although being bi-lingual is not a requirement, it certainly helps in situations where group work or projects are assigned because some of the students do feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish than in English.

The kind of person that should not attend this school is someone who is not interested in furthering thier education, meeting new people, or is lazy about homework.

Anyone looking to continue their education should attend this University. Everyone is welcome and there is a variety of Majors offered. There are many resources available to students in case you need assistance with housing, child care, tutoring, counceling, and many more. Current students create a very welcoming vibe and are always willing to help.

People should not attend this school if they are thinking about obtaining many student loans or have no desire to get involv ed in sports related situations. It is a good school however I feel that it doesn't care that much about its students unless they are athletes or can pay their own way financially.

A person who is not ready for a four year institution. This college is challenging academically but if they are not prepared for what is coming they should begin a a community college which should prepare them best.

Really this school is a good choice for anyone regardless of religion or ehtinicity backgroond.

The kind of person should not attend this school is the person who do not want work hard, study or do homework. UTEP is an university that required lot of time of their students.

Since this is a commuter campus so it is pretty dead during the weekends. A persona that would like an environment where there is a plethora of activities to participate in on campus is likely to encounter people not hanging around campus for very long.

A person who isn?t willing to do the required work for their classes should not come to college at all. If they are not prepared and willing to learn they will not find it easy at this school.

Individuls that do not have the same objectives that this University represents and do not plan to follow the code of conduct that is expected at this institution.

The type of person that should not attend this school is probably someone who is extremely serious. Many times I feel that my professors waste my time with busy work and do not stimulate learning experiences. Yet there are teachers and classes I have taken that have totally changed my life.

In my opinion, everyone should go to school no matter what. Of course, there are some people who dont show any excitement towards learning and do not even care what is of their life. Also those who dislike being in a diverse environment where you learn new things or ideas everyday.

This school is for a wide variety of people. Students from different ethnicities, religions, etc attend this university. However, the predominant ethnic group here are Mexican Americans.

I am not going to tell who or who should not attend this campus because everybody is invited to join.

The most common type of people seen in this school are poeple who communter from Juarez to UTEP due to the fact that is very close.

I can't think of any type of person that shouldn't attend this school.
