The diverse range of creative disciplines attracts many artistic individuals - be it in dancing, music or the visual arts. Uarts maintains a small student body and very material and media driven curriculum. Having originally enrolled at the school with the intention of going into animation I had the exposure and flexibility to explore other majors. I'm now a ceramics major and am positive that had I gone to a school without the varity I might never had been introduced to clay. This school provides resources for anyone wishing to seriously pursue their creative goals.

The type of person to attend this school should understand the differences between a career and a hobby. Many people have dropped out of this school immediatley because they believe art school is easy. To succeed here, one must have know the business side to the art world and what it takes to make it. You have to work hard to get the job you want, because most people do not get to do what they love for a living. Artists are lucky in that way, but it's an uphill battle to get there first.

If you aren't interested in friendly staff members, a wide variety of classes, and faculty members that are currently doing what you love, this isn't the school for you. People that are willing to accept constructive criticism in a positive way would love it here. No one is here to watch you fail or even let you for that matter. The school continuously inspires me to reach even higher for my goals. Anyone who loves small classes, where the professor knows your name, would be incredibly happy attending this school.

Anyone, regardless of his or her background in the arts, can attend this school. This person, however, has to be willing to push themselves, to not cling to a single concept, and of course, take responsibility for attendance of classes and completion of assignments. If the person meets these standards, he/she's sure to have a great experience here at UArts.

Individuals who are willing to work hard, do whatever it takes to realize their dreams; but most of all, love what they're doing and do it with passion, are the type of persons who should attend UArts.
