Trident Technical College has been a great college for my lifestyle. It’s flexible and offers a great education at my own pace. The financial aid office and registrars office could use a lesson in communication and organization however. I tend to be more confused after a conversation with either office. The professors care and are available for tutoring.
Trident Technical College was the ideal college for me. The class sizes, depending on the course, are not too large. They have a variety of options to choose from, whether you want to major in the arts or engineering. I'm currently enrolled in their Pre-Nursing Studies program, and it has been perfect for me. All of the classes I need are virtual, which is perfect for me because I work and attend college full time. The instructors reply back in a generally timely and respectful manner. I love the fact that I am able to make all my educational decisions at my fingertips. Trident offers me the ability to receive my education and continue my professional career simultaneously.
Trident Technical College isn't in terms of motorcycles the ostentatious and overly prestigious massive Harleys you often find its a lean mean road carving machine, its no nonsense. It isn't the big USC or Clemson but its academics is top notch. They may not have a massive football following or whatever its main effort is education. Whether they're guiding transfer students or giving out Associate Degrees. Its BIO and Math classes rival other institutions so much so that some teachers recommend going to trident for certain courses because of how much emphasis they put on the education. It may not be the greatest of them all but they sure fight to prepare you because they're definitely more efficient.
Trident Technical College is a great place to go if you didn't get into your dream school or you want to save money. The teachers I have had so far are amazing and really want their students to succeed. Most teachers I have had are available during office hours if you need tutoring. I do wish there were more ways students could get involved such as extra-curricular activities and more clubs. But what can you expect just get good grades so you can get to where you need to be.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Trident Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Seeing as to how I'm 10 years out of highschool, there are a lot of things that could be said. I think that most importantly, the advice that I personally would give is this: "Please don't give up!! Do not succumb to parts of the world that settles for a dead end job! Don't leave school just because of a stuggle that has been experienced. Follow through and get into college!! It will take you places you never knew existed. Above all else remember this, do NOT give up on yourself. Do NOT allow anyone's opinion steer you in a direction that you don't completely agree with, and most importantly, ALWAYS live your life with your faith first, yourself second, and then everything else after that." I made a lot of rough choices throughout my life, and this last year and the few years to come, are my steps to a new direction. I know now that had I chosen this path 10 years ago, my life would definitely be in a different place. Now, that is my new goal, to become what I didn't choose then, before it's too late. Thank you.
Trident Technical College is a reasonably cost effective, local option for students who want anything from a single class to a degree.
They have plenty of courses available to students in order to get them finished within 2 years with thier associate degree. Some community colleges are quite impacted and it takes up to 3 years to get a 2 year degree.
My diverse group of classmates have been open and tolerant of others viewpoints which encourages a very productive classroom experience.
Someone that is trying for a 4 year school, that really wants to pick up cheaper credits that will transfer to a four year school.
I wished I would have done more research and known how reputable Trident Techical College was. If I would have taken the time to do so, I would not have wasted my time and money at another institution. I wouldnt be in so much student loan debt and I would have been working in my chosen field.
Its laid back and open.
The only people who shouldn't attend TRident Tech are those who aren't ready and or motivated enough to make it through. This school is based on self growth, almost like having training wheels on your first bike. If one isn't prepared to first learn how college works here the chances of them moving forward in higher education would be limited. So the only ones incapable of attending this school are simply those who have already told themselves they would fail before they even attend.
I can't think of anything
The cost of Textbooks and the fact that they have online codes. These codes are specific to the college and once you use them the text-book is basically worthless. The college will sell it to you for $150, you use it one semester and they will buy it back for $25. You might be able to sell it privately to another student for $40, because they will have to pay $50 for a new code. It is a racket.
Trident Technical College is known for having instructors who really do care about their students. The faculty there is always so pleasant.
When talking about Trident technical College with my friends I emphasize the quality of education that is prevalant. Most of my friends have never attended a secondary school so I inform them that they can go to school and that TTC is a school that works hard at making each prospective student feel like they can come here and learn. Knowledge is power so I really encourage my friends to come take the placement test and sign up for the next semestor.
