Triton is a great college. The staff is very accommodating and always willing to work with students. They are extremely sensitive to students needs, be it religion or otherwise. In addition, the campus is beautiful and well tended to. The classes are very enjoyable even if there is a bit of a challenge.

The Lord Jesus really loves everyone at the college! Jesus paid the price for everyone there to be free from themselves and free to follow Christ! All the teachers, students, staff, and members at Triton can believe in Jesus and live just like He did.

I love Triton as a community college but it would be nice if they were to have more clubs and organizations around campus. I think a lot of the students there are just looking to go to class and be done, given that they also have jobs, children, etc., but it would be nice for the school to unite as a community.

Ingrid

Triton College is a community based college. Here they emphasize on student life. They teach us the ropes to know when to transfer, how to transfer, and what credits are needed for our majors to be transferred. They engulf us with positive mind sets to further our education. Overall, Triton College is a positive, helpful, and encouraging environment for students.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I wish I had the courage to tell my mom I didn't want to go to culinary school. I told her when I was eleven I wanted to be a chef but by my sophmore year in high school my mind changed but I never told her I didn't want to cook any more. My first semester in college I went to Kendall College to please my mom and thinking I could just live with me being a chef, but when after my first semester I didn't like it and I told my mom I wanted to drop out and transfer to Triton College to sort out my life. I wish in high school I made my own choices and goals instead of living by eveyone else's standards and goals for me. I am applying to transfer to a four year college to major in Art Education and minor in Art History because that is what I really want to do with my life, even though I'll be in school for a few more years longer than I hoped for.
