TMCC has an overwhelming quality of sincerity. All too often, in a world full of for-profit schools and acedemic dishonesty, it's easy to become jaded about the value of education. When I initally left school in 2007, I didn't know if I'd want to return. I suppose my former college had fed me one too many sour grapes. TMCC was like a palet cleanser and reinvigorated my love of knowledge.

When looking at what is the best about school, I find that even though it is a community college there's a ton of resources and people help you out a lot. There has been a few instructors that didn't care too much and went through the motions. When it comes to looking at the whole picture teacher are teaching me things that 4 years of high school didn't bother to teach me. When I see most of my teachers I can tell they care and have the intention of helping you towards that degree.

I like the size of the school and the campus is very pretty.

One of the biggest advantages of attending the Truckee Meadows Community College is the fact that the classes are smaller, which provides an optimum environment for learning in my opinion. This gives the student the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and even develop a rapport with the professors. Also, depending on the classes or associate degree programs taken there, the student could very well continue on to a bachelor's degree as some of the associate degrees tranfer to the Universit of Nevada Reno 100 percent, effectively making them a junior at the university.

I like the teachers at Truckee Meadows Community College. They take the time to help you when you need it. They are always willing to work with you when you are having a hard time with anything in the class. They are very flexible and willing to work with there students on any problem that might arise.

The best thing about TMCC is that the staff is very helpful. Anytime I have had an issue or question, someone has been able to help me and ahppy to do it.

The best thing about TMCC is that the book store does not charge taxes when buying textbooks. I also like that they disburse financial aid awards a week before school starts, and it is easy to get in contact with the financial aid office during the fall and spring semesters.

The Honors Society at TMCC is beyond magnifecent.

The best thing about Truckee Meadows Community College is that I am able to take all my classes here and graduate with my Dental Hygiene AS degree without having to transfer to a different school.

The best thing about my school is the convience in how easy it is to get to the campus from my house. The classes are smaller than normal university classes and also a lot cheaper. A lot of the teachers are very cool and relaxed. They are willing to help you out if you need it and will do as much as they possible can for you.

The people in this school are amazing, specifically the staff. The staff here genuinely care for their students. It is endearing and comforting to know that the professors are enthusiastic about helping and teaching the students.

The best thing about TMCC is the size. I just graduated high school a year ago and did not know how I would adjust to the class sizes because I believed they would be huge, they are not. I always feel very engaged in what is going on in my classroom and teacher's give you one on one time better with only 40 students in a class and not 300 like at UNR.

The best thing about my school is that the place is really small which actually makes it easier for students to succeed. You get extra help from teachers, mentors and staff. They also have such great programs just as the nursing. Their potential is really competent. Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is a magnificent school to succeed in life.

The best thing about Truckee Meadow Community College is that there are less students in a class as compared to any university. So students gets more chance to interact with the professor in case of difficulty in the course and one gets to understand more with few students than with a class having bunch of students.

The best thing about TMCC is there 2 year transfer program, its allowing me to save money and get a better education. The credits I am currently taking satisfy UNR requierments there for, I will be a Junior with the correct amount of credits and moving on to a better life.

Truckee Meadows for me is a booster school its helping me getting down all my core classes and is helping prepare me for bigger things. The best thing is I?m getting my associates degree for a lot less money and its helping me transfer to the University of Nevada Reno. Without this community college I probably wouldn?t have been able to afford college all together. It?s help minimize the loans I?ve needed to take out and given me a broader education.

The price and size of my school is what I would consider it's assets. Tuition is just a fraction of what it would be if I were attending a university. Now days, that is handy, considering it takes five or six pay checks to cover tuition and books. Aside from tuition, TMCC's class sizes are not only managable, but close. Because the school only has three buildings on the Dandini Campus, students, like me, can quickly get to class during the fifteen minute intervals some of us face.

Flexability in the type (campus, internet) of classes offered & times available is the best thing about my school. As a working adult, this is the main reason I selected this school over others in the area. Not only does it make it easier for me to work into my schedule, but because it is a community college, it is also a better fit with my limited budget.

The best thing about my school is the atmosphere. The students are all there for the same reason and ready to learn. You dont have to worry about the immaturity that high school brings and you can really focus. The students are also very helpful towards one another and willing to helpeach other succeed. You get a feeling of comfort and it really calms you to know that there are other students just like you who need help as well.

My school is small. For many people who enjoy a fast paced lifestyle, this is not the school for them. However it is the school for me. The class sizes are very personal. The professors have real jobs in the city I live in that have to do with their line of teaching. Since the college is not their main form of income (usually) the students are aware of the fact that they teach for the enjoyment of it rather than teaching because they have to. I have attended a large university and the teachers never even learn my name.

I attend a local community college. Hands down, the best aspect of this is the diversity of the student body. Universities sometimes feel monochromatic...mostly recent high school graduates. In reno, nevada, a relatively small town with a relatively conservative population, this means mostly american and caucasian. At Truckee Meadows, I have the oppertunity to meet and talk with people from all over the world. Last semester, I met a girl from Tazmania and another from Lithuania! This world is amazingly diverse and I love that I get to see and appreciate that every day that I am on campus.
