THE BEST THING ABOUT TRUMAN STATE IS ITS SIZE. THIS SCHOOL MAKES ITS STUDENTS FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PART OF A LOVING COMMUNITY. THEY WILL NEVER FEEL LOST, LIKE SOME WOULD IN A BIGGER UNIVERSITY.

At the time of my attendance, Truman State University was affordable and academically challenging. To this day, my education that I received at Truman has benefitted me in all areas of my life, including additional degrees earned and my everyday interaction with people. I also met life-long friends. I would recommend any student that wants to be challenged academically to consider attending Truman State University.

Truman's wide range of academic programs each seem to shine. Many schools are known for excelling in a particular department, but any major chosen at Truman will give the highest level of preparation for entrance into its field.

The best thing about my school is the small atmosphere. Classes are small enough for you to know your professors and for them to see you for more than the work you present to them. This helps students to grow and learn more outside of the classroom.

The best thing about Truman State University is that there is such a wide variety of activities offered. There are many intremural sports, many guest comedians, bands, greek and non-greek organizations, and so many things going on around campus. The week before classes start is called Truman Week, where new students get to know the campus and town, and the whole community comes together to make them feel welome. It was an amazing experience for me.

I believe that the friendliness and openess of everyone that attends including faculty is the best thing about Truman State University. Everyone is respectful, happy, and people that don't know each other start up conversations and become friends instantly. I really love the atmosphere in general.

I often look forward to the day when I am employed and look back to my college days and think of all the hard work that was performed. I am positive my heart will fill with hubris. Truman State is found in Kirksville, a small town of 17,000. There is basically nothing to do here, thus students have more time to study and stay on tract. The avrage ACT scores instantly allow one to see what type of students attend here, the lowest score to enter is 26. One has to stay focused and on top of all the assignments in order to pass with flying colors.

It is a relatively small school which allows for very interactive classes. Professors are always available to help and give one on one attention. The fact that it is not a huge school, also allows for a very friendly atmosphere.

Smaller school gives you more opportunities and there are a lot of ways to get involved.

Nothing much except for the quality of education you get for the money you pay. Also friends is about it.

Affordability ranks very high on my list. I come from a family that does not make the income to support my education. However, financial aid that I have acquired the past couple years has been just enough to pay for my schooling. It is even very affordable for those that are attending this school from out of state.

The environment that make the school so unique is most certainly it's best attribute. Whether in the classroom or out and about around campus it's a very calm and inviting atmosphere. It's hard to feel out of place or too stressed for long.

Truman is a liberal arts institution, which is a phenomenal way for students to study a little in a wide array of subjects, discovering the interconnectedness of all fields. The University is very inter-disciplinary in its approach to learning. This is invaluable in a world where careers are quickly changing and the globe is becoming more diverse and interconnected.

It is small enough that you don't get lost in the crowd but also offers so many opportunities to get involved and to express yourself. You really have a chance to thrive here. I know my professors and my classmates, as well as many others in various majors and organizations.

Everyone who attends Truman is a nerd in some way shape or form, and they are all usually easy to get along with.

The education is high-quality and they give great scholarships. Also, I am never bored because there are so many ways to get involved on campus.

It is pretty cheap compared to a lot of other colleges.

Many people are warm and welcoming. The school definatley provides acedemic challenges and I feel as though I am recieving an excellent education. The size of the school is perfect, because you can walk around and always know several people, which helps maintain relationships. The campus is centrally located and easy to commute from class to class.
