What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

Hayden

Tufts is typically stereotyped, at least from the outside, as Ivy League rejects who (often) don't know how to have fun. This stereotype couldn't be farther from the truth. Of course some Tufts students were rejected from Ivies, since they are difficult schools to get into, but others get into ivy Leagues and pick Tufts because they like it better (gasp!), and we fill almost a third of each class with ED acceptances as well. I picked Tufts over Ivies as my first choice because I thought it offered me the world-class academic opportunities in a welcoming environment that would make me happy. As for not knowing to have fun, I haven't met a single person at Tufts who doesn't have fun often. Not every student is a party animal, but people do whatever they want and have a great time doing it.
