I wish I had known how intense the daily grind of West Point is. Trying to balance the academic, military and physical aspects of this school is extremely challenging. Some of it can be meant to overwhealm you. I also wish I had been more acquainted with the structure of the corps of cadets. Starting at the bottom of the hierarchy is tough and as you progress you find even more challenges.
Free time will be limited based on what sport you are in. While you are required to be in a sport, the different choices will affect free time

I wish I had known more of what to expect for my Beast Barracks during the summer. Beast Barracks is a sort of basic training for new cadets.

I wish I would have known exactly what I was getting myself into. USMA is a huge schock for new cadets when they arrive here on R-Day and along with the rest of my fellow classmates, we didn't know what was going to happen when we first arrived at USMA. Basic training was a trasnition from civilian life to military life and was not the easiest situation to accomplish. Overall, I wish I had known what the experience would be like so I could've prepared accordingly.
Take as many AP courses as you can and excel in them.
