Teachers are always willing to help when asked and provide open shop on the weekends for work on personal vehicle. Campus is clean and labs are awesome. Came in with no experience and have learned so much, all I need is more experience. Tuition is high, but I guess you would expect that for hands on learning.

William

I believe Universal Technical Institute is a great school and all the professors are very knowledgeable. This college has a variety of resources and an immense amount of lab time. Everyone is extremely passionate about what they are learning and teaching.

  4. Describe the students at your school.

My classmates are hard working students who, for the most part, are very interested in what they are studying. This school is not like other schools, in the sense that there are no 'general studies' classes, only those directly relating to your field of study. This school is also great for hands on learners, like myself, who often times struggle in the traditional classroom. My classmates are good to work with, and we help each other out. This can be true for all colleges and universities, there are many good people, make sure you're one of them.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

It is disgusting how many students at my school smoke and chew on campus. They stand right outside every door and smoke even though they're required to move out away from the building. Plus, the chew tobacco users spit all over the ground right by the door and where guests will walk and not only see it, but smell it! Garbage from this group also ends up in nearby trees, bushes, or just piles. They dont even have the decency to throw away their garbage and used cigarettes.

  9. What kind of person should attend this school?

I can't answer this question the way that it is worded, but I can tell you the qualities in myself that make attending Universal Technical Institute the right decision for me. I love to work with my hands, I would go crazy wasting away into overweight complacency behind a desk somewhere. I love new technology and applying it to the world around me as well as adapting it to the future ahead. Finally, I love the idea that at some point down the road, I might be the only person who can help someone else in a difficult situation.

  10. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

In a large University, it's so hard not to feel like you're simply one in the thousands. There seems to always be someone who is just a little better at any given thing, even the one thing that may be my best quality. When you are surrounded by that many people, seeking generally the same types of end goals, it's difficult to feel like an individual.
