The University of Alaska Fairbanks is disorientated, busy, expensive, and spread out, but in the end, I love their scenic views of the city and its "home-like" feel when you forget that you're in school away from your family and friends.


The University of Alaska Fairbanks is a great school. I found it to be welcoming and helpful as I arrived on the first day. The courses offered there are of good variety and the campus and dorm life is very ideal for students of all types.


I like the Tanana Valley Campus as it is smaller, and I get more one - on -one instruction. The instructors encourages group discussions, activities, and the material is directly related to my degree.


The University of Alaska Fairbanks is an open-campus that contains many research facilities associated with the biological sciences, and the buildings are also very spread out, so it is a rather large campus due to this feature.

This school is big and beautiful, filled with students who are mostly the outdoors type but are nice just the same. Everone is accepted. The teachers seem to really care about the students, whether its giving them a few extra days on an assignment or explaining a concept in a new manner. The teachers are also very knowledgable in their subjects.


Mostly boring and really, really cold.
