My classmate at very helpful and engaging with the courses. They are very outgoing and have posititve outlooks on the future and the present. And they often party but study harder as they enjoy their down time but take school very seriously.

The students at the University of Arizona vary greatly from recent high school graduates to retirees, and have diverse backgrounds ranging from athletes to military veterans to exchange students from all over the world.

My classmates in the Engineering Department are academically minded and helpful when you need them to be, but they also know when it's appropriate to relax.

My classmates differ from class to class such that in my big lectures, there are some who are very engaged with the class where others aren't.

Because my classmates are in the college of Science, they tend to be academically driven, extremely intelligent and engaged in class lectures and discussions.

In well-praised lectures with the best professor for the course, students are engaged with the lecture material. They are well focused in class and love group work/ studying. However, in other courses where the professors are rated fair to horrible, students tend to not give a dam about the course in general. People would be facebooking, watching youtube videos, and sometimes even game during lecture. Its a sad world to see that this happens mostly with the younger classmates of mine.

They are, hands down, the most diverse and interesting people I have met to date ,from all walks of life and, if given a chance, have the potential to become great friends.

The majority of my classmates love the U of A and have all had a great time while here and flourish academically and socially.

Most classmates seem to be very open to meeting new people and doing new things; it tends to be a very academically-focused group that knows how to have some fun along the way.

Here at the University of Arizona, there is a diverse group of individuals who all seem to blend together in the spirit of education. As you walk the campus, there is a sort of hum that is emanating the promise of a better future once in college. For me, I can only marvel at this Symbian life that is here, coupled with the beautiful city of Tucson, Arizona that I have lived all my life. At the University of Arizona, you can all around find people that share in the passion of education and have fun in the process.

Most classmates are very helpful to each other and get together for studying or helping with homework. They really try their best to help their fellow classmates so none of us are behind. It is a good idea to get together so we can make sure we understand what is going on in the class and can explain it to others who do not understand the material.

To my left, a student speaks Chinese, to my right, another student speaks Spanish, and in front of me, everyone else is learning how to speak the Athabaskan language, the language of the Navajo people…get the picture?!

I don't really know; I tend to be that type of person who studies alone in the library.

Many of the classes I have taken consist of lecture halls with over 400 students so needless to say, it's not a very personal environment where a person will know their classmates.

My classmates are driven. You have the typical bunches; the overachivers, the slacker, those just trying to get by, and those that do the work. It is usually easy to find someone who you have something in common with. A majoreity of my classmates will have the same major, or similar interest. Classmates are always willing to help eachother out, and to work together on tough concepts. Never have I encountered someone who was rude, or that wasn't willing to help. My classmates help build a conducive enviornment where I feel comfortable learning.

The classmates that surround you are all anonymus people, however each resemble you and your goal to further your education in hopes to find a successful career.

There is a lot diversity on this campus from students from Europe all the way from the Asia. They range from different religions and socioeconomic statuses that gives this school its diversity we know of at UofA.

The UA is a very diverse campus. We have students of all races, religious backgrounds, gender, etc. We also have a great amount of international students. There is something for everyone to be a part of, whether you're Christian or support the LGBT community, or love politics, there is a group for you. We also have a lot of students from California. Everyone is unique and are free to express their opinions or their own styles. Our student government really tries to keep students aware of critical issues on campus and in the community. There are a lot of resources on campus for students to get information from.

The University of Arizona is extremely diverse. I was blown away with the uniqueness of everyone on campus. I know several people in every class, nationality, sexual orientation and religious belief. And there are multiple clubs and groups for each classification. There is a way for every single student to feel connected. And people of all backgrounds interact with each other frequently and build friendships. Most of the students seem to be from Arizona and thus there is a large white and a large latino population. There is also a growing asian population on campus. Most students tend to be from the middle class and have a slightly liberal political view.

There are so many different types of students at the University of Arizona, and I've never seen students not getting along. We're all here for the same reason- to learn and have a college experience.

Beside the fact of my classmates being friendly and courteous, they are people who let you be yourself inside of the classroom; they don’t criticize the way you look, speak, or what you have to say.

Oh la la! The students at the University of Arizona are amazing! Of course, you have many students who come for a year or two, they may choose a major or not, and then they eventually drop out. But, you also have an eclectic mix of students the University. We have a large Sorority and Fraternity presence, as well as student athletes, but if you take a second glance, you'll start to notice the differences - the hipsters, the artists, the media arts students (maybe?). The point is that anyone can find a place at the University of Arizona. We aren't necessarily considered a 'hippy' University, like Northern Arizona University, but it's still good to come with an open mind - you may just like what you find!

My classmates vary depending on the class. My honors classes are usually filled with very intelligent students who like to engage in discussion, while my other classes are often times filled with students who are quite apathetic towards their work.

At the University of Arizona my classmates are smart, social and friendly. Since I am in the honors college my class sizes are a lot smaller and it gives students a chance to interact on a one-on-one basis with the professor.

My classmates are friendly and helpful and even when we are complete strangers they make an effort to get to know one another by the end of the semester.
