I personally have sat in on lectures from attendants at the UMC and it is amazing to see the technology and the mechanical techniques that go into fixing an error in the human body. School pride definitely. Our football games are so much fun to go to. We have the biggest student section in the Pac-10 Conference and going to those games when I first started as a student here really got me into the school spirit.

I have been extremely impressed with the variety of programs and clubs that are offered at my school and I think that is one of the main things that draws students.

The University of Arizona is best known for its tremendous variety of research opportunities. The professors are almost always willing to work with undergraduate students in whatever area of research a student is interested in. Labs are located all throughout the campus giving many students research opportunities they didn't even know they would have before coming to the university. My school is admittedly best known as a party school-- but it doesn't have to be! UofA is definitely most known for it's medical school and foodball. Two drastically different things, but important in their own way. One provides knowledge, the other school spirit.

While so many other, more important aspects of our school are overlooked, the University of Arizona is most known for it's Greek life. A large emphasis is placed on the importance of Greek life here, particulary for incoming freshman to join the rather large community. Also, a hump sum of money is given to greek life organizations on campus.

My university -- that is, the University of Arizona -- is pretty well known for Astronomy, as far as I've heard. My college -- the College of Fine Arts (at the UA) -- is an art school that's very concept-focused. What I mean by that is that the College of Fine Arts believes art is about communication, so their focus is to make sure its students communicate concepts or meanings as effectively as possible. Students leave the college with a better understanding of how to translate ideas visually, and how to create and facilitate conversation about a piece.
