It has a good location for me, a more inclusive engineering program and excellent track record for producing graudates who become experts in their fields.
size and quality
the desert surrounding the area, and also the school spirit.
I think something that is unique about my school is that we have a very big minority population on campus. There are centers that are specifically geared to help those minorities succeed in college as well as life after college. It has been very helpful to me, and it helps you get involved, and feel comfortable while doing so. The faculty is very helpful and they are there for you.
Drugs, alcohol and the temptation to indulge in both are everywhere...College is about having freedom from your parents, but not freedom from yourself.. it is important to find a balance of a strong academic foundation with the incorporation of a fun and enlightening social life. Arizona has many opportunties that can pave the academic foundation, but it is up to You the student, to determine how you balance your collegiate life.
I love Arizona. I find myself always challenged in classes and I have made great friends here. I love the school spirit that just exudes from students here. Tucson is not the most ideal place to live, but for a college town, it does its job. I would never dream of going to another school. BEARDOWN!!
Excellent school for virtually everyone!
Overall, this school isn't half bad. I fought my parents tooth and nail because I did not want to come here. However, after the first semester and after finding my way it really wasn't that bad. Some advice: Don't come in with a declared major unless you are 100% sure about it. It really is true that you change your major about 5 times before you are happy. Just stay undecided and research what interests you. Don't be afraid to speak up and ask questions in class. GO to office hours! Seriously! It helps out a lot. Explore the campus and find a space that you like, that you can go to to clear your head when things get stressful. Belive me they will. People watch. It can be really funny sometimes. Enjoy your college experience!!
Honestly, while I loved living in California my whole life I was really glad that I choose to go somewhere different and experience different cultures. While I don't think I've live in Tucson for the rest of my life, I definitely have started to love the city.
The University of Arizona is awesome!
This school provides a private school education at a public school cost. There are available internships, research programs, study abroad programs and clubs.
It is close to home and there is a lot of different areas of study. It has a top engineering and business program as well as a fine arts program.
I didn't consider any other schools because I live in Tucson and U of A is the best school for the money for me. The campus has a really great energy. The weather combined with the architecture, landscaping and layout make for a really laid back environment to be in.
My school is unique because it considers environmental issues and having a diverse staff as one of the two most important issues.
The University of Arizona's campus is very laid back and casual. It is a fun place to go to school, and the surrounding area is beautiful.
When I was applying to different schools, the University of Arizona caught by attention because of the wide variety of academinc options. They offer so many degrees and career plans. I aspire to become a doctor, and I chose Arizona's Physiology program to better prepare me for medical schools. There are so many choices and plenty of advisors and professors to guide one through school.
This school has such a strong school spirit and sense of community that I feel so safe here and I feel that it is the right school for me.
What's unique about my university is how we are extremely encouraging towards each other in our classrooms. We care about each other, especially being such an ethnically diverse school. We strive to not let learning interfere with our education.
The weather. The sun is always shinning which makes it hot, yet it also means people are always outside walking around or playing games on the mall.

This campus is very nice. it is all flat and easily accesible for classes and other activities on campus. The campus has all kinds of activities to partake in including the rec center and the underground which has different arcade games and a nice restaurant.
U of A is the place to be. Nothing compares to it. We party hard study when we have to, and get it done
Thats pretty much it
The food at the Park Student Union sucks. Good thing the food on University Street is some of the best food in Tucson.

nope! I love UA!
I've enjoyed my first year at Arizona so far. It is easy to let go and become involved in something here. It is very important to be a part of something more personal, because the size of the school can be daunting. It is also important to make friends in classes, because they will keep you reminded of academic responsibilities.
