There are a lot of people not here for school, just to party.

The worst thing about the University is the heat. When it is hot in other parts of the country, it is extremely hot in Tucson. The people in Arizona will tell you it is a dry heat. True, but so is my oven and I would not want to live in my oven in 120 degree temperature.

I consider the parking and cost to attend the school the worst. It is always difficult to find a parking spot and the parking permits cost too much money. The cost of tuition and books and other related items can really put a financial damper on my situation.

So many stairs! Each and everyone of my classes are contained within a fortress of stairs. One of my buildings did not even have an accessable elevator which is an emense inconvenience for one of my fellow classmates since she is subjected to be in a wheelchair. I have noticed, thankfully, that most of the buildings do have ramps and elevators. The inconvenience is minimal, but when you're in a hurry the stairs seem never ending.

There is too many contrstion on campus which makes it a lot harder to get to class and other destination on campus or to near by businesses.

The worst thing at the University of Arizona is the fact that it is sometimes hard to get in to see an advisor. They are often busy and I have had more than one advisor get angry with me and not be helpful at all. The advising in general isn't great.

Sororities and Fraternities give the school a "stuck up" vibe at times.

The city that the university is located in. Tucson has a well-sized crime problem and there are areas in the southern and eastern parts which need to be avoided if you plan to live off-campus. I grew up in fairly rural or secluded areas so the transition to a more urban area was difficult. I've interacted with former students struggling in minimum wages jobs and locals who seem to be unhappy and stagnant. There are decent, hard-working people in Tucson but the thought of becoming a permanent Tucson resident is a depressing idea.

For some individuals, social life at The University of Arizona can become too much of a priority and begin to effect a students education. The unlimited amount of opportunities to get involved can lead to a new student putting too much on their plate. Grades may begin to slip and the student may become worn out. Though this can be avoided with good time management.

I think the worst thing about my school is that all students have to take general education courses which are not always very interesting and that is where the poor quality professors tend to be found. I would rather focus on my courses for my major and minors. I am going to have to take summer class in order to graduate on time because I do not have room to take the general classes in addition to my core classes.

The worst thing about the University of Arizona is the religious extremists and bigots that can always be found around the union and UA's mall. They are normally extremely conservative individuals who preach their close-minded views to anyone nearby. They rudely target people involved in Greek life or members of the LGBT community. Their presence is very upsetting to most people, but since it is technically a public college, nothing can really be done to remove them from campus.

The lack of academic integrity and discipline is a frustrating sight to see on my school’s campus. Students place a heavier emphasis on partying and lounging around than caring for their studies. Although striking a balance between going to school and having a social life is difficult at times, I have seen some classes only a quarter occupied because students choose to do other activities instead of attending class. There should be more punitive measures for ditching classes, but I suppose it is a lesson that life will teach inevitably. Some people care, and others do not.

I think the worst thing is that the students do not take classes as seriously as they should sometimes. There is a big focus on social lives, which are very important, but your career is the most important.

I think the worst thing about the University of Arizona is that it is know as a party school. From my experience the majority of students are here to grow in their educational field.

The worst thing about the University of Arizona is that greek life is overwhelming and too big and some people make it seem like being apart of greek life is necessary to have fun and make friends.

One thing at the University of Arizona that I find to be the worst thing is the construction that is going on with the greater part of the campus. The city of Tucson is currently doing a massive regeneration and vitalization of its downtown area and the University of Arizona, being not too far away, has also been looped into this. Because of that, navigating your way through the hurdles of construction sites and zones can be a nuisance. But once it is all finished, I am sure the results will indeed be well worth it.

In my opinion, the worst thing about this school is that the social scene is controlled by greek life. Sororities and fraternitites are a huge deal here and if you are not in one it is easy to feel left out. It seems like they are everywhere and all dress and act the same. It can be frusterating at times to feel like the only way you can have a social life is to join greek life.

The dining options on campus tend to be a little limited, which for students who reside in the dorms and do not have off campus access can be a down side. I would have to consider this the worst thing about the school, because after a long day of classes, a fresh healthy meal always sounds appealing.

A majority of my classes are very big so it is difficult to get attention from the professor. This can be really challenging if a student is not understanding the material because it is almost impossible to get help from the professor. If a professor moves at a much faster pace than you are used to you will have to turn to other utilize resources such as tutoring or your textbook.

It is hard to make friends if you are not involved in Greek life.

Athletes receive the highest priority for class registration, over Honors students and Veterans. Many of the athlete's I've been in classes with could hardly string a sentence together and clearly were getting a free ride just so the school could have an impressive sports team. Very sad.

The worst thing about my school would have to be the amount of money it costs for out of state students. Being an out of state student, I have been through all the finiancial struggles of attending this school. I am in love with this school and would never want to leave, which makes it more difficult on myself and family, becuase money is always an issue. I do not recieve financial aid anymore from school, making it more difficult to stay without always being stressed about money.

The worst thing about the University of Arizona has to be the fact that it is very expensive. I pay for my own schooling because my parents are providing for my three little sisters, therefore I cannot afford all the little extra fees and the tuition that the school charges to me as well as other students. As a result I have to resort to loans which I want to avoid so that I can afford dental school in the future.

The worst thing about my school is the parking. There are so few places to park for free and if you find a free spot its usually several blocks a way from school. The best parking spots are about $300 and up. So give yourself enough time to walk the distance without being late to class.

I think the worst thing about school is you are charged for certain things that some students never use and it's not far. Why should you pay for something you don't use or never go to? I think they should only charge students for things like recreation room like using the gym, swimming, etc if the students who are actually using them. But those who never go there and uses the facilities should not be charged.

38,000 spots and only a couple thousands places to park on campus. It it an adventure finding a place to park on campus. The meters spots are always full and garage parking is so expensive. Around campus, there are a few patches of few parking, however, make sure it is legal. Many students have received parking tickets for parking in a zone they thought was free parking.

I think the U of A has very similar problems to any other university; there's no colossal issue that stands out. There are the little things, like getting tired of the campus food after a while, or having to invest in a bike to get from one side of campus to the other to make your class on time.

I felt like there was not enough diversity in ideas and social behavior.

The worst thing about Augustana College is that it offers many wonderful programs to choose from; picking a major is a very difficult task.

The worst about the school is that one of the libraries close early on Fridays. I believe not all students are out partying and drinking, so they should open the Science Engineering Library until late at night for other students to provide studying areas . It closes around 6 p.m. on Fridays and I wanted to go study at this library on Friday night because I had plans on the weekends. However, the library closed early, so I was not able to study for the test on Monday. Therefore, they should change the time of service at this library.

I think the one of the worst things about my school is the way the math department is set up, almost everyone complains about it. The amount of constant construction is annoying when trying to get to 8am classes on time, and I'm sad that most people regard it as a low level school.

The maps aren't very user friendly. Also the way they do registration is awful and needs to be rethought. Also their slogan is "Bear down" which in medical terms is having a bowel movement. Gross.

The matth department here is notoriously poor. Early level math classes require a huge investment of personal time to succeed. There are free tutoring services available but the teaching quality can be very sporadic. If you choose this school, complete as much math education as you can prior to attending and expect to teach much of the material to yourself. Also, familiarize yourself early with tutoring opportunities to offset in class shortcomings.

Counselors, I have had a few friends led wrong by counselors making it so they are in school longer and paying more. If the counselors screw up then they should pay for the extra semesters you are there, maybe then they would do their jobs better. I also was told to take physics at the university, not the community college because it was a better class and thats why people thought the community college was easier. The truth is its harder at the U of A because it is taught by grad students while the community college has real professors.

The location. The campus is great however, the surrounding area is not.

What I consider the worst about my school are the advisors. I consider advisors to be the worst thing in my school because they do not help as they should. The give you information that sometimes doen't even apply you. They also tend to send you to other people to seek help or answer you questions when it is something that they can answer. I feel this happens because they have many other things to do like paperwork and deal with meetings that they do not really have time to focus on the students.

I believe that the worst thing about college is the amount of money it costs to attend. Students today are faced with so much financial debt because they attend college and try to better their life through education. Education will only better a person, and it gives students the opportunity to succeed and achieve their lifetime goals. In today's society, it is quite difficult to be successful without an education. Education makes all the difference, so financial hardship is expected.

It sucks that there are no cafeterias. I wish there was more than just fast food on campus. There are healthy choices but they get boring after a while.

The worst thing about the U of A is the large lecture classes. It is very hard to have a one-on-one relationship with the instructor and the classes are often more challenging than others as a result as a result. Also, the math department is not as good as it should be for a school with such great engineering programs. Many students struggle with math here mostly because they have poor instructors who don't explain the material well enough.

The worst thing about my school would be the complicated online systems for everything. Everything we need to do as students seems to be online and very complex. There is always something you miss and that can have horrible outcomes. For instance, missing a deadline or duedate can have a major effect on your current acedemic year. I think this could be easily avoided by having a person to talk to about these important procedures instead of trying ,and sometimes failing, to navigate an online page.

The worst thing about the University of Arizona is trying to find a place to park, as well as the price of a parking pass. Parking garages are often filled before 10:00am, and considering it costs almost $600.00 to buy a parking pass, this can turn into a serious problem.

I think the worst thing about my school would be the lack of maintenance to the curriculum. Some teachers simply administer classes that they have no control over from year to year; often making a nearly impossible class to pass because information is either outdated or, sometimes, it's not up to date with the information in the new edition of the text book.

The worst part of UA would have to be the surrounding area. I have people constantly ask me how I feel about Tucson and my relpy is always, "i'm not a fan of Tucson but I love UA." The problem with Tucson is it's just too dead for a college town. Very little entertainment, all kinds of run down buildings, foreclosed houses, and very little being done to improve all of this. Tucsonis also somewhat of a dirty town simply because it's old and city members have chosen not to take care of it anymore.

The worst thing about the University of Arizona when I attended was the lines for the registrar and financial aid offices. Other than that, it was awesome!

The University of Arizona requires students to take many classes that do not apply to their chosen careers. The general education system here is way over the top.

There is so much going on at this school that sometimes one can get a little lost in the shuffle. Sometimes you have to put your pride aside and ask for help or direction to stay on your two feet. Luckily, there are people all around campus to help when things get a bit overwhelming, it can just be hard to seek their assistance.

The worst thing at the University of Arizona would have to be the lack of students who do not appreciate the Tucson culutre. Since the university is one of the main attractions in Tucson, Arizona the surrounding city can often be overlooked.

It is really hard to choose something negative about my school, because I love it. However, the majority of students here are Caucasian. The minorities such as African American and Latino are no where to be found on campus. There are business and volunteer sororities and fraternities for these minorities, but it appears as though they are not as socially accepted as the majority. Arizona could benefit from including those minorities and making it more socially acceptable to include them in the social sororities and fraternities for example. Even though this is an issue, Arizona is still the best campus.

The wrost thing about the University of Arizona is most likely the phenomena of "GPA padding" where medical and science students have to work harder for a higher GPA while Business and Art students can pad their GPA so it's a 4.0.
