University of Arizona Top Questions

A well rounded one.

I think that there are two ideal students for the University of Arizona. The first of which would be a fun-loving student who perhaps did not have the best GPA in high school but is really looking forward to pledging into the greek community and pursuing a non-research oriented degree. The second would be someone who is hoping to graduate with a Bachelor's in a research-oriented feild or hard science and continue on to Graduate School or work for a company like Raytheon.

Anyone who wants to enjoy a diverse population at a top rated school should attend the University of Arizona. There are people from all countries and states that are attending here. Where ever I walk I always here a foreign language being spoken. Since Arizona is a top rated school, any student is garunteed to gain the education they are paying for. There are so many choices on where to live, a student can live on campus or live on the myriad of apartments and neighborhoods that surround the University. This is amazing because all the options are affordable.

Most of the people that attend this school are very goal oriented, whether it be in business, science, art, etc. Students tend to have strong career goals and take advantage of the opportunities at this school to help them move further. At the same time, students are incredibly laid back and relaxed in campus and social settings and most people are active and easy to get along with. Anyone who hashigh goals for the future, who is shy or outgoing, and from any diverse background would enjoy attending this school.

The Univeristy of Arizona is a school that celebrates diversity and prides itself on not only it's academics but also the integrity of each one of it's students. A person should attend UA if they are willing to work hard and apply themselves mentally, physically, and emotionally to every thing they do here. Any person who loves to meet new people and submit themselves to a vast number of oppurtunities and situations would thrive. The University of Arizona is a place of warmth and sunshine, so a person has got to love the heat and bright happy days.

I think a person that likes an enjoyable climate year around. I also think the University of Arizona offers many different degrees that tailor to many students. A laidback or more serious person can attend the University because there are people that come from all walks of life. I believe that the people are friendly, so any person that wants to be surrounded by great people should attend. If you are looking to be advanced in technical subjects such as Science, this place is for you. We have the nation's top department for Optical Sciences & Engineering!

This school can attract a range of people. For example those who are directed in their goals have opportunities to pursue vigorous programs. Similarly, those who are undecided can explore a wide range of lower level classes.

I think almost anyone could attend the school. It provides services for anyone who needs help, making it easier for a person to do well. Those who are focused and looking to have a better life by obtaining a degree should attend but otherwise the school is probably not for you. Those who are determined succeed while others who simply come for the party life do not do as well.

The kind of person who should attend this school is someone who is serious about their schoolwork and who doesn't take their future lightly . This person should, in my opinion, have a goal that they wish to achieve through their schooling.

I think this schoo is great fo al kinds of students. I have et such a variety of people here and I love that. It is a pretty big school so no matter what you will meet someone who you can get along with and study together with also. There are so many opportunities here that are just waiting for anyone to take advantage of!

Someone who likes warm weather! Also, someone who aspires to become a nurse, optical engineer, or work with space since those are majors that U of A excells at.

I truly feel that the UA is a wonderful school for many different types of people. There are so many clubs and activities, that any person is guarenteed to feel at home. Also, Greek Life is huge, so if someone wants to get involved right after summer, they can meet people that way. The professors are personal and very well known. Education is worth every penny at the University of Arizona.

This school would fit a person that wants to study any of the sciences. UA has a lot of offer in its medical, pharmacy, and astronomy departments. Many of UA's majors are among the best in the nation (dance, architecture, lingistics, etc.). People attending UA should desire a quality education that rivals any of the bigger name colleges.

One that likes tanning quite a bit

People attending the University of Arizona should understand and value the importance of academic achievement in their life. He/she should exude an eagerness to learn, a healthy respect for others, a natural ability and willingness to interact with others on a daily basis. S/he should lead by example through their social life, academic carreer, and spiritual beliefs.

People that aspire to attend the University of Arizona should be friendly and accepting to all. As a college student, this is a major importance and will often be a requirement throughout your career. Also, one should be able to adapt to new situations; college is a tough transition, one that takes a while to adjust to. However, it is easier if you are outgoing and find a solid friend base to rely on. The last criterion is that you must be willing to pursue your dreams and be able to enjoy your experience as a college student.

A person who is eager to learn and to educate him or herself. In addition, an indivudal who wants to feel as though he or she is a part of something bigger. Further, someone who wants to meet many new people, like and unlike his or herself and to diversify themselves.

A person who wants to get to know people and have fun at college while doing well.

Someone that is a hard worker and doesn't expect to slack off and get by but also someone that loves to have fun and enjoy themselves. There is so much to do like going to sports games on campus, heading down to the music scene on 4th avenue or getting late night burritos at Highland Market. So much happens on campus from clubs, to intramurals and of course all of these things come AFTER studying. Be prepared to study hard and play later.

I believe the type of person that would attend this school is someone that has tons of school spirit, would love to meet new people everyday, extremely into our school sports and loves to have fun and go out with friends. this is a very social university.

people who wants to succed in thier own field, a person who wants to be the best in sports espicially in basketball and football.people who wants to pursue medical field.

A bright, hard working, ambitious person should attend this school.

Anyone can attend this school. It is a good school. I would not deter anyone from soming here to the U of A !!!

A person who is dedicated and hard working. Someone who is certain about their academic career.

Someone who enjoys a large social community and the combination of a small town feel with a city-like setup.

Well I think all different types of students would do well in this environment. I live off campus and have a job that takes a lot of my time, and it works perfect for me. I also have friends that live in dorms on campus and don't work etc. It gives you the opportunity and freedom to make of it what you'd like.

Anyone who is serious about school and knows what they want to do once they get into school. Those who have always wanted to attend the university and got the chance to actually live that experience. I believe that anyone has the ability to go to the University of Arizona as long as they are able to get themselves there. By this I mean that when one has a dream to do something then they should do it. Therefore, I believe that anyone who wants to attend the university should be allowed.

A person who is dedicated to learning, who is excited to experience life outside of high school, and who has a positive outlook on the future and how they can change it should attend the U of A.

A person who is very outgoing and keeps him or herself active. Someone who likes to have a big social life but also can manage time wisely to keep up with the workload from the school. There are many clubs, fraternities, and sororities on campus for students to be involved in and this school is definitely desiged for those who like to be around and work with other people. This is a place for confident men and women who are not afraid to meet new people and to just be themselves.

One who really cares about thier profession and would like to go sight-seeing. The student should be active and independent, but they should also focus on the research opportunities available to them.

Anybody, really can attend this school. There is a little bit of everything for everybody.

Someone interested in research and science.

Anyone who is looking for an energetic, friendly campus where he/she can study the subjects that most interest him/her should attend the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona places a large emphasis on being environmentally responsible, and anyone who places value in trying to help the environment would feel right at home on campus. My experience with the University of Arizona has included some spectacular teachers who have helped me get excited about learning. I suggest that people who want a memorable and enjoyable, as well as academically-focused, college experience should attend this school.

A person that is looking to receive a quality education at a minimal cost. Someone that enjoys a small town feel but is used to big city amenities. There are lots of parks, skiing/snowboarding is a half hour drive, someone that enjoys lots of outdoor recreational activities.

I think a person who is ready to find themselves and find out where and what they want to be in life. The U of A is a great opportunity to find your friends, find your career and just find out a lot about the person that you are. It's for someone who wants to live in a small college town and gain memories and experiences that you cannot find anywhere else.

Some one who is willing to work hard for an education.

Anyone who wants to learn should attend this school. Despite its reputaiton, Arizona is actually very prestigious in numerous fields of study. In addition to this, there is a very active campus life ranging from clubs to greek life. Everyone that I have come into contact with has been involved with something on campus and enjoyed their time here. If you know yourself and what you like, then there should be no problem with finding your own personal niche on campus.

An academics-focused individual should attend this school. The University of Arizona is also notorious for parties--which may be a good thing to some--but individuals whom get too wrapped up in their social life tend to not do so well. They're also missing out on some quality education.

An academic focused, driven outgoing person

Any motivated, academic, and social person would love the University of Arizona. Warm weather people would find it easy to call Tucson their home away from home, but wintery locations are not too far away for those who can't go without some snow. Sports fans could fall in love with Wildcat Athletics, the teams here are entertaining and talented. The University is welcoming to every sort of person out there looking for a great college experience and goes out of its way to recruit many types of people. GO WILDCATS!!

Our campus focuses on self motivated enthusiastic students. If you have the ability to maintain a social life and academic life all at the same time this is the school for you. We are very involved in school activities and school spirit is a must. If you find yourself needing to get out of the box then this is a place you needto check out. Come with an open mind, be willing to meet new people , and most of all be confident in your own abilities.

It's a school for everyone.

People who attend the University of Arizona need to be motivated and dedicated to their educational goals. The work load tends to be a bit heavy, so there isnt much wiggle room. Outgoing people do well, as there are many friends and study buddies to be made at this school.

Someone who is interested in truely expanding their mind and view. If one is biased or close minded when it comes to people and different views in life then they need to find a private school. This school was made to accomodate the needs of everyone, not just one type of person.

One who can allow themself to have fun yet maintain focus on their studies. Those looking to have a well rounded college experience will find it at the University of Arizona.

The most frustrating thing about the University of Arizona is the counselors. They are never available when you call to schedule an appointment. The counselor I am assigned to has been on vacation for nearly a month. On the rare occasion that one of the counselors is in their office they are rather helpful. Unfortunately none of the counselors will go out of their way to help you. The second most frustrating aspect of U of A is the tuition increase for the 2009- 2010 academic year. Tuition and fees has gone up by nearly $1,000 dollars.
